Light heavyweight Klidson Abreu has reportedly agreed to meet Jamahal Hill in Jacksonville, Florida.
Another foreign UFC card has been canceled due to the coronavirus, and fighters are now being moved to different events again.
Once scheduled to meet Gadzhimurad Antigulov at UFC Kazakhstan, on June 13, Brazilian light heavyweight Klidson Abreu was now moved to the May 23 UFC card, in Jacksonville, Florida, according to MMA Fighting’s report.
According to MMA Fighting, the UFC’s Kazakhstan card, which was scheduled to happen at the country’s capital of Astana, has been scrapped altogether. Other than Klidson’s fight, Khadis Ibragimov vs. Roman Dolidze and Jordan Espinosa vs. Zhalgas Zhumagulov were the two other contests announced for the event and will still have to be reshuffled.
Abreu (15-4) could have his job on the line when he meets Hill. With only one win in three Octagon appearances, the 27-year-old dropped decisions to both Magomed Ankalaev and Shamil Gamzatov, in February and November of 2019. His sole victory came in July of the same year, when he bested Sam Alvey via unanimous decision.
Undefeated in his professional career, Jamahal Hill (7-0) will look for his second straight win in the Octagon. In his last outing, back in January, the 28-year-old earned his first UFC win when he defeated Darko Stosic via unanimous decision.
Now, Abreu is expected to take on Hill at UFC Fight Night 177, in Jacksonville, Florida, on May 23. So far, no main event for the card was announced or reported.
