Justin Gaethje and Ali Abdelaziz say Conor McGregor has been offered a fight.

It appears that Conor McGregor is still very much relevant in the world of mixed martial arts, as top-five UFC lightweight contender Justin Gaethje recently called out the former featherweight and lightweight champion on social media.

Gaethje, who last fought at UFC on ESPN 2 where he knocked out Brazilian striker Edson Barboza in the first round, hinted that ‘The Notorious’ had been offered a fight with him.

“F-ck your money. You in it or not @TheNotoriousMMA,” Gaethje tweeted to McGregor last week.

McGregor didn’t respond, so Gaethje’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, tried to bait the Irishman into accepting the match-up by posting a provocative tweet of his own.

“Yo, McTapper. You’re offered to fight @Justin_Gaethje, you going to man up and fight, or your soul still hurting from that ass whipping? Justin will take you to a different level of deep waters. @TheNotoriousMMA,” Abdelaziz posted on Wednesday.

‘McTapper’ is obviously a reference to McGregor’s submission loss to undefeated lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229. ‘The Notorious’ also tapped out to Nate Diaz back in 2016 but went on to avenge the loss in the blockbuster rematch, earning a majority decision over Diaz in the UFC 202 main event.

McGregor hasn’t fought since his loss to Nurmagomedov last year, and the former ‘champ-champ’ is currently rumored to be in talks with UFC president Dana White over his next fight.
