Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is putting together a hard-hitting featherweight showdown for its upcoming UFC 248 pay-per-view (PPV) event, courtesy of Jeremy Stephens vs. Calvin Kattar, who collide on March 7, 2020 inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

That’s according to a report from MMA Junkie.

Stephens (28-17) has not seen the win column in four consecutive fights. After getting folded by Jose Aldo at UFC on FOX 30, “Lil’ Heathen” dropped a unanimous decision to Zabit Magomedsharipov prior to his Yair Rodriguez eye poke fiasco, which took a pair of fights to resolve.

As for Kattar (20-4), he also went down on points to the aforementioned Magomedsharipov, snapping a two-fight win streak that claimed Chris Fishgold and Ricardo Lamas. “The Boston Finisher” has lived up to his nickname by racking up three technical knockout stoppages in four trips to the Octagon.

UFC 248 will feature the women’s strawweight title fight pitting Weili Zhang opposite Joanna Jedrzejczyk. Elsewhere on the card, former middleweight champion, Robert Whittaker, looks to resurrect his title hopes at the expense of Jared Cannonier.
