Having booked his return to mixed martial arts over the course of last week, former UFC title challenger, Kevin Lee now has his opponent booked for a lightweight outing against Saul Almeida at Gamebred Bareknuckle 8 on November 15. event in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Lee, a former interim lightweight title challenger during his storied tenure in the Octagon, hit the headlines last week having booked his return to mixed martial arts competition under the banner of Lights Out Championship, taking on Thiago Oliveira in a return to his native Michigan.
Sidelined from mixed martial arts since he featured against Rinat Fakhretdinov back in July of last year at the UFC Apex facility, Lee suffered a stunning first round guillotine choke submission loss inside just 55-seconds, dropping his third defeat in his four most recent outings in the cage.

And with another UFC alum, Randy Costa booking a bantamweight title fight with Brandon Davis at Gamebred Bareknuckle 8 in November, fellow Octagon veteran, Kevin Lee is set to take on the above-mentioned Saul Almeida on the same card in a lightweight pairing.
Competing for interim lightweight spoils at UFC 216, Lee suffered a third round triangle choke submission loss against arch-rival, Tony Ferguson in their headlining clash back in 2017.
In his most recent victory in mixed martial arts, Lee took main event honors at Eagle FC 46, landing a decision win over former UFC lightweight title challenger, Diego Sanchez in a once-off super lightweight matchup at 165lbs.
Over the course of his mixed martial arts career, Lee has scored notable wins over the likes of Efrain Escudero, Jake Matthews, Michael Chiesa, Edson Barboza, and Gregor Gillespie.
