Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fans will have the opportunity to meet reigning lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov, during a special three-city tour of the United Kingdom taking place from June 11-16, which includes stops in London, Manchester, and Midlands.
“The Eagle” is being billed as “the Dagestan Prince and king of the UFC world.”
Nurmagomedov is currently serving a disciplinary suspension handed down from Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) back in January, thanks to his post-fight melee that also featured Irish nemesis and former lightweight champion, Conor McGregor.
“I am really excited to be coming to the UK and meeting my fans,” Nurmagomedov said in today’s press release. “I appreciate the support I have received from this country and I want to give something back.”
The live, interactive Q&A sessions will be followed by a private dinner for the tour’s most prominent sponsors. Expect more details to emerge as we get closer to June, including times and venue information.
As far as his fighting career is concerned, Nurmagomedov is expected to make his next title defense against surging 155-pound slugger and interim lightweight champion, Dustin Poirier, this September in Abu Dhabi.
