Khabib Nurmagomedov is already the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world in the eyes of many MMA fans, but the undefeated Dagestani believes he has to notch three more wins before he ranks himself as the greatest of all time.

Speaking to reporters at a UFC 242 press conference in London, ‘The Eagle’ outlined his plans to beat Dustin Poirier, Tony Ferguson and MMA legend Georges St-Pierre to cement his legacy as the GOAT.

“I have to beat Dustin, I have to beat Tony Ferguson, and I have to beat GSP,” Nurmagomedov said, per BJPenn.com’s Tom Taylor. “Then I can become pound-for-pound No.1 fighter. This is my opinion.”

Khabib will face the first fighter on his hit list, Dustin Poirier, at the upcoming UFC 242 pay-per-view in Abu Dhabi.

The reigning UFC lightweight champ has been scheduled to fight Ferguson, the former interim titleholder, on four separate occasions but neither man has yet to make the walk to the Octagon.

As for St-Pierre, the former welterweight king retired earlier this year but Khabib insists on challenging ‘Rush’ in a superfight.

UFC 242 will be Khabib’s first test, where he takes on interim lightweight champ Poirier in a highly anticipated title unification bout at du Arena in Abu Dhabi on September 7.
