If you asked the average informed UFC fan what was next for Khabib Nurmagomedov, chances are they’d say ‘A long suspension.’ The NSAC still hasn’t ruled on what kind of punishment he faces for kicking off a mad brawl following his UFC 223 win over Conor McGregor. Considering how big of a fiasco that whole situation became, it wouldn’t be surprising if Nurmagomedov gets put out of action for a year or more.
But according to Khabib’s manager Ali Abdelaziz, they’ve got some big and exciting news on the way.
We will blow your mind big news coming @TeamKhabib

”We will blow your mind,” he wrote on Twitter. “Big news coming @TeamKhabib.”
No one knows what this big news could be, but it hasn’t stopped anyone from speculating. A McGregor rematch? A fight with Georges St-Pierre? Or Floyd Mayweather? The rumor mill even has people speculating about a 165 pound tournament or WWE appearance.
The possibilities are all over the place and few of them seem all that realistic given the NSAC suspension hanging above Nurmagomedov’s head. But then again, we said similar things just before Jon Jones’ USADA suspension suddenly came to an end. With enough money to be made, anything is possible. So I guess we’ll just have to wait for our minds to be blown.
