Watch the finish from the wild opener at UFC on ESPN: Dos Santos vs. Ngannou.
The early prelims for UFC on ESPN: Ngannou vs. dos Santos kicked off with a bang as heavyweight Maurice Greene knocked out Junior Albini just 3:39 into the first round. It was a back and forth affair that saw both man get some heavy shots in, but Albini seemed to tire out coming into the second half of the first round and Greene capitalized, continuing to sling leather until a powerful left stunned Albini and a follow up dropped him.
From there it was all ground and pound until the referee stepped in. Watch highlights of the finish right here care of the UFC:

The win moved Greene to 3-0 in the UFC (8-3 MMA), and he sounded ready for a move up in competition.
”Closed mouths don’t get fed,” Greene said. “There’s an old man out there from Chicago, kinda bounces around. I think he goes by Andrei Arlovski. I think we should go ahead and set something up, big homey. From the most humble spot. You gotta beat a vet to get in there, so I’m 3-0 and ready to rocket to the top!”
If Arlovksi is to accept, he’ll first have to get past Roy Nelson on July 20th at UFC on ESPN 4. Just like Greene, he’s on a streak but in the opposite direction at 0-3-1. If he doesn’t break that in July, he may not be in the UFC any more for Greene to fight.
