‘The Korean Zombie’ has no idea how he was still standing against Brian Ortega at UFC Fight Night 180.

Chan Sung Jung was on autopilot for most of his featherweight bout with Brian Ortega at UFC Fight Night 180, with The Korean Zombie admitting that he didn’t remember much following the spinning elbow that dropped him in the second round.

Jung, who lost the bout via unanimous decision, released the following statement on social media shortly after the fight.

“I don’t remember the 3rd, 4th, and 5th rounds,” an embarrassed Korean Zombie posted on Instagram yesterday (via Google translate). “I can’t remember, but it’s amazing to see how I’m fighting…haha..I have to find out why I lost when I lose the game. Right, I’m just an idiot. Ortega was so good…I just feel so embarrassed about me now. Still, thank you for supporting me a lot. I’m sorry.”

Jung, who headed into the Ortega bout on a two-fight win streak, struggled to find his range and land any significant strikes from the opening bell, but the former UFC featherweight title challenger did look notably more tentative from the third round onward. Jung is now 3-2 in his last five fights, with the UFC veteran sporting wins over Frankie Edgar and Renato Moicano but losses to Yair Rodriguez and the aforementioned Ortega, who extended his record to 15-1 (1 NC).
