With just a couple of days to get on weight and pass medicals, longtime mixed martial arts (MMA) veteran, Derrick Krantz, will make his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) debut against Vicente Luque on ESPN+ this Sat. night (May 18 2019) inside Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York.
That’s because Luque’s original opponent, Neil Magny, was forced off the card after failing a pre-fight drug test administered by United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). Magny has attempted to shed light on the situation right here.
Krantz (22-10) was expected to compete on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series after a blistering knockout win over Justin Patterson at LFA 63 last March in Texas. The 31 year-old “D-Rock” has a staggering 20 finishes in 22 wins.
As for Luque (15-6-1), he’s been running through the welterweight mid card with relative ease, smashing and trashing four straight opponents, including his technical knockout victory over Bryan Barberena at UFC on ESPN 1 back in February.
