Featherweight Kron Gracie can’t wait to make his UFC debut against Alex Caceres at UFC on ESPN 1.

Yet another member of the Gracie family will step in the Octagon for the first time. Son of legendary black-belt Rickson Gracie, featherweight Kron Gracie is scheduled to take on Alex Caceres at UFC on ESPN 1, on February 17.

An accomplished grappler himself, Kron won the ADCC gold medal in 2013 right before making the move to MMA. Now, with a 4-0 record, the 30-year-old is eager to make his Octagon debut just like many of his relatives in the past.

“I’ve been waiting for this moment all my life.” Gracie told fans during a Q&A session with fans on Facebook. “I like representing my entire family. I always expect the best result, but I’m ready for anything. I train to win, but I’m prepared to die, always.”

Naturally, all four of Kron’s wins came by way of submission and although his record is short, the Brazilian did tap out veteran of the sport Tatsuya Kawajiri in his last outing, in December 2016.

UFC on ESPN 1 will be headlined by a heavyweight bout between former champion Cain Velasquez and contender Francis Ngannou. Gracie vs. Caceres will be on the main card.
