Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) scratched the bantamweight contest between Aspen Ladd and Macy Chiasson after Ladd — who could barely stand under her own power — failed to make weight for their UFC Vegas 38 showdown, previously scheduled for Sat., Oct. 2, 2021 inside the promotion’s APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Fight is off. Again. All my fault. Straight up started my period two days back and made this cut absolutely miserable,” Ladd wrote on Instagram. “Did the best I could, hit 137, the scale situation was a mess because the last thing I wanted was to bleed in front of the media. The fight wasn’t pulled, my opponent then decided she would rather not go through with it, as is her right. I’m going to get slammed regardless, so let it begin.”

Ladd and Chiasson were expected to throw down back in July; however, Chiasson got injured a day before the official weigh ins and was forced to withdraw. No word yet on whether or not the promotion will try to book this 135-pound showdown for a third time, or force Ladd to move up to the featherweight division.
