Get a detailed breakdown of the betting lines for UFC Fight Night 154, which is set to hit Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina, this weekend (Sat., June 22, 2019), including best bets, underdogs, favorites and much more!
The city of Greenville, South Carolina hosts a Featherweight crossroads bout this Saturday night (June 22, 2019) when “The Korean Zombie,” Chan Sung Jung, faces Brazilian standout Renato Moicano in the main event of UFC Fight Night 154 on ESPN+.
Veteran bruiser John Lineker steps up on short notice to rematch Rob Font in the night’s bantamweight co-feature, while Bryan Barberena squares off with Randy Brown in a guaranteed Welterweight slobberknocker.
ESPN+ isn’t the most expensive thing in the world, but let’s see if we can’t pay off a year or two of it in one go.
What Went Wrong at UFC 238?
Naught. Aljamain Sterling and Alexa Grasso put on terrific performances, and while Petr Yan had more trouble with Jimmie Rivera than expected, his two knockdowns carried him to a decision victory.
Undercard:
Kevin Aguilar (-150) vs. Dan Ige (+130)
Luis Peña (-380) vs. Matt Wiman (+315)
Jairzinho Rozenstruik (-220) vs. Allen Crowder (+180)
Ariana Lipski (-280) vs. Molly McCann (+240)
Deron Winn (-280) vs. Eric Spicely (+240)
Anderson Dos Santos (-125) vs. Andre Ewell (+105)
Thoughts: Yeah, this week isn’t going to break the bank. Let’s see what we can squeeze out of Kevin Aguilar and Deron Winn.
I’ve been high on Aguilar for a while, and after watching him completely shut down Enrique Barzola’s wrestling game in March, I finally feel like I can have faith in his takedown defense. Ige’s a dangerous grinder, but is more grit than technique on the feet, leaving him at the mercy of Aguilar’s killer jab. I believe “The Angel of Death” punches his ticket to a top 15 opponent on Saturday on the strength of his boxing.
Winn is still a work-in-progress, but he’s a stylistic nightmare for Spicely, who generally relies on his top control. “Zebrinha” is woefully outgunned in the wrestling against a former Olympic hopeful and Winn’s got the superior hand speed and power. Cormier’s protégé comes out victorious in his Octagon debut.
A teeny bit on Andre Ewell may also work. He’s got a ridiculous reach advantage and Dos Santos has never been difficult to hit. Don’t go too hard, though; Ewell’s ground game is his Achilles’ heel and “Berinja” is more than good enough to finish him if it hits the mat.
Main Card:
Renato Moicano (-200) vs. Chan Sung Jung (+170)
John Lineker (-210) vs. Rob Font (+175)
Bryan Barberena (-270) vs. Randy Brown (+230)
Andrea Lee (-225) vs. Montana de la Rosa (+185)
Kevin Holland (-225) vs. Alessio Di Chirico (+185)
Ashley Yoder (-120) vs. Syuri Kondo (EVEN)
Thoughts: Only value I can really see here is in Andrea Lee and maybe Syuri Kondo; I’ve been burned on the latter before, though, so let’s stick with “KGB.”
For being a wrestler, de la Rosa isn’t particularly adept with her takedowns, landing a mere 22% of her UFC attempts. Though Lee has had issues staying upright in the past, she held her own against a more physically imposing grappler in Ashlee Evans-Smith last time out and figures to have a significant edge on the feet. Trust in Lee.
Best bets for UFC on ESPN+ 12:
Parlay-Kevin Aguilar and Deron Winn: $40 to make $50.40
Parlay-Andrea Lee and Deron Winn: $41.60 to make $40
Single bet-Andre Ewell: $30 to make $31.50
Names, schmames; this card’s got violence potential and that’s good enough for me. See you Saturday, Maniacs.
Initial Investment For 2019: $300
Current Total: $902.51
