BREAKING NEWS: BJJ World Champion Zorobabel Moreira (7-1) will face Shooto Champion Kotetsu Boku (18-6) for the lightweight world championship title at ONE Fighting Championship: Rise of Kings on October 6 in Singapore.

ONE Fighting Championship: Rise of Kings is expected to take place on October 6, 2012 at the 12,000 capacity Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. The event also features title bouts in the bantamweight and featherweight divisions, as well as a bantamweight Grand Prix. Headlining will be Shinya Aoki vs. Arnaud Lepont who meet in a lightweight “super-fight.”

Moreira has won five straight including three inside the ONE FC cage. He recently earned a knockout finish of Roger Huerta in a welterweight bout, using a soccer kick to the head to end things in the second round. ‘Zoro’s’ previous ONE FC wins include a third round submission of Felipe Enomoto at the ‘War of the Lions’ show and a second round TKO finish of Andy Want at the ‘Champion vs. Champion’ event.

Boku is just 1-1, while 5-1 in his last six, and will make his ONE FC debut versus Moreira next month. The Japanese-Korean fighter won a first round knockout last July by stopping opponent Shin Kochiwa at a Shooto event. Boku has earned six (T)KO finishes, one submission, and twelve decisions over his career which includes facing opponents such as Joachim Hansen and Hermes Franca.
