After Sean Brady withdrew from the fight, Dhiego Lima has stepped up to face Belal Muhammad next month at UFC Vegas 17.
Belal Muhammad has a new opponent for his fight on December 19th, as Dhiego Lima has stepped up to replace the injured Sean Brady.
The undefeated Brady was forced to withdraw from the fight last month. Originally Muhammad campaigned for a fight with Mike Perry, but MMA Fighting confirmed that Lima will fill in for Brady and fight on December 19th.
Lima (15-7) is yet to fight in 2020 after suffering a neck injury that scratched his fight with Alex Morono at UFC 247 in February. The two-time Ultimate Fighter contestant is currently on a three-fight winning streak in the UFC, dating back to December 2018.
Like his new opponent, Muhammad (17-3) has also won his last three UFC appearances. “Remember the Name” won a decision against Lyman Good at UFC Vegas 3 in June. The 32-year-old picked up two wins last year, one of which was a submission win against Takashi Sato that earned Muhammad a $50,000 bonus.
UFC Fight Night 186 on December 19th will be headlined by a welterweight fight between top contender Leon Edwards and breakout star Khamzat Chimaev.
