“I’ll be okay.”
That’s what UFC Fight Night 95 headliner Cristiane Justino told the crew at UFC Tonight last Wednesday, when asked if she was going to make the 140-pound catchweight for her Lina Lansberg fight this Saturday night (Sept. 24, 2016) in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

But if “Cyborg” fails to hit her contracted mark, don’t expect the “Elbow Princess” to be a good sport and let bygones be bygones. In fact, there’s a strong chance she’ll hit the kill switch and leave FOX Sports 1 without its headliner.
“We are both professionals and we have signed a contract at 140 pounds,” Lansberg told MMAjunkie.com “And she has already been given 140 instead of 135, and we all have to remember the UFC weight is 135, and she’s the only one fighting above it. I’m fighting at 135 as well, and the contract is 140, so I do expect her to make weight, and I’ll fight at 140 and nothing else.”
That would suck.
Typically when fighters miss weight, they’re fined 20-percent of their purse, which goes directly to their opponents. That said, a fighter is not required to continue if they feel the added weight presents an unfair advantage.
And after watching this video, that’s the last thing Lansberg needs.
