Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight title contender, Anthony Smith, will make his return to action on Nov. 28, 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada. According to MMA Fighting, “Lionheart” will face off against Devin Clark at an upcoming “Fight Night” event on Nov. 28, 2020.
Smith hasn’t stepped foot inside the Octagon since losing to Aleksandar Rakic at UFC Vegas 8 this past August. The loss marked his second in a row, losing to Glover Teixeira via technical knockout (TKO) this past summer (see it again here). It’s been a rough stretch for “Lionheart,” losing three of four overall since 2019.
Clark, on the other hand, has won two in a row after defeating Dequan Townsend and Alonzo Menifield this year. Clark hasn’t been the most consistent fighter on the UFC roster, going just 6-4 during his stint. A win over Smith will be the biggest of his career and help him inch closer to a Top 10 ranking.
The ESPN+-streamed event will feature a hard-hitting Heavyweight bout between Derrick Lewis and Curtis Blaydes, while Renato Moicano takes on Rafael Fiziev in further main card action.
