Cheick Kongo vs. Sergei Kharitonov
Round 1: Kharitonov with a quick jab to start things out. Jab to the body. Kharitonov stalking while Kongo looking for the counter. Nice jab from Kongo. Kharitonov with a nice ow kick. Kongo with a huge right hand than lands flush. Nice onw-two from Kongo. Kharitonov with another nice jab. Kongo keeps backpedaling hoping to land a good counter. Nice low kick from Kong, Kharitonov keeps moving forward. Kongo stumbles whole walking backward but gets back up quickly. Nice uppercut from Kharitonov lands flush. Kongo tries to fire back and eats another jab and then a big right hand, Kongo turns his back, seems to have suffered an eye injury as the round comes to an end. 10-9 Kharitonov
Round 2: Technical difficulties for the majority of this round.
Final Result: Kongo def. Kharitonov via sumbission
Logan Storley vs. Dante Schiro
Round 1: Storley goes in for an immediate takedown and he gets it and Schiro is on his back. Not good for the Bellator newcomer. Storley now in full guard. Not a ton of action with his position. It would be nice if Storley threw some punches while he is in this position, but hasn’t really taken advantage of it. Schiro is simply trying to escape. Not a ton of action after the first five minutes. 10-9 Storley
Round 2: Storley goes in for another takedown but Schiro defends well, though he had to work to prevent going down. Action up against the cage and Storley slips but manages to get in and score a takedown. Once again he is in full guard and Schiro has had no answer for this. Again, Storley is content with just laying on top of him. The referee has seen enough and stands them up before the second round comes to an end. 10-9 Storley
Round 3: Storley goes in for a takedown, he doesn’t get it. Schiro’s defense a bit better this time around. Storley pushes his foe up against the cage. Schiro trying to score some offense but he simply can’t with Storley holding on to the single leg. Storley will win this one in rather lackluster fashion unless Schiro can pull something out of his hat. It’s pretty much a tussle for position at this point because while Storley is outwrestling Schiro, he really hasn’t popped off much offense. With 10 seconds left, Schiro puts his foot on the pedal and starts unloading some mean elbows to close out the round.
Final Result: Storley defeats Schiro via split decision
Keith Lee vs. Jornel Lugo
Round 1: Left hook for Lugo. Straight right from Lee lands. Low kick from Lugo. body shot from Lee lands. Lee misses on a big left hook and Lugo lands a low kick, follows it u with a nice jab. Oblique kick from Lee. Lugo drops Lee with a stiff jab. He pounces and tries to sink in a guillotine choke. He escapes. Nice jab lands for Lugo. Lee is starting to show the damage in his face. Lee tries to go in for a takedown and Lugo transition in a rear-naked choke. He has it in and time runs out. It seems as if Lee survived but the referee called an end to the fight after the bell because Lee got up and tried to run around but he almost stumbled. He was out on his feet.
Final Result: Lugo def. Lee via first round submission
Billy Swanson vs. Marcelo Golm
Round 1: Golm immediately lands two right hands and then gets Swanson in the clinch and feeds him a couple of knees. Low kick from Holm. Shot to the body and then another low kick from Golm. He then attacks and connects on a five-punch combination. Golm once again tries the clinch. Tussle for position. Golm with another hard body shot and then a straight right hand penetrates through Swanson’s line of defense. Knee to the body from Golm. Golm lands a few more knees to the body. Golm lands couple of power shots and drops Swanson, forcing him to cover up. Golm goes in for the kill and gets it courtesy of some nasty ground-and-pound right before the round comes to an end. 10-9 Golm
Final Result: Golm via first round technical knockout
