Bellator 275: “Mousasi vs. Vanderford” is set to air later today (Fri., Feb. 25, 2022) from inside 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, headlined by a Middleweight title fight between division champion, Gegard Mousasi, and No. 1-ranked contender, Austin Vanderford. In the co-main event, Sinead Kavanagh will battle Leah McCourt in a battle of Ireland’s two top women’s Featherweight contenders.

Gegard Mousasi vs. Austin Vanderford
Round 1: Right hand from Vanderford. Short right hand lands for Mousasi, they’re exchanging in the center of the cage. Nice jab from Mousasi that wobbles Vanderford. He drops to the canvas. Vanderford goes in for the takedown and he inexplicably covers up. Mousasi sees Vanderford is hurt and he pounces and starts unleashing major ground-and-pound. The referee has no choice but to put an end to the fight.
Final result: Mousasi def. Vanderford via first-round TKO
Sinead Kavanagh vs. Leah McCourt
Round 1: Front kick from McCourt. They exchange, clinch and McCourt scores an early takedown. Half guard. Now side control. McCourt mounts, now half guard. Great start for McCourt. Kavanagh trying to escape. She does eventually and now she ends up on top. She has a kimura. It’s tight and she is cranking it. McCourt in real trouble here. She’s hanging tough. Kavanagh continues to crank on it. She escapes! Wow. Kavanagh now starts unloading bombs on McCourt. Great first round for both ladies. Tough one to score. 10-9 Kavanagh
Round 2: They clinch early and McCourt is trying for the takedown. Kavanagh drops to one knee, back up. Action up against the cage. Kavanagh reverses position and she pushes McCourt up against the fence, looking for a takedown. McCourt looking for a guillotine. Kavanagh lands the takedown. She takes McCourt’s back. Action back to the feet, Kavanagh still has a hold of her, isn’t letting go and gets another takedown and now McCourt is looking for the kimura. Kavanagh now in guard. Kavanagh now landing huge shots and she drops to the canvas inexplicably, possibly a knee injury. McCourt is now on top. Kavanagh landing some elbows from bottom position as the round comes to an end. 10-9 Kavanagh
Round 3: Kavanagh’s knee isn’t there. She is barely standing. McCourt trying to target the knee now. Front kick. Kavanagh is tentative here. Kavanagh pushes McCourt up against the cage. Kavanagh smartly looking for the takedown. She gets it but McCourt is on top. Half guard. McCourt working the left arm and she is now in full mount. Kavanagh manages to escape. McCourt in side control now. Kavanagh looking for a guillotine, down 2-0. Kavanagh is just holding on here, waiting for the round to end. McCourt needs a finish. Kavanagh reverses and she is on top and starts raining down bombs as the round comes to an end. 10-9 Kavanagh

Ciaran Clarke vs. Abou Tounkara
Round 1: Clarke shoots for an early takedown, stuffed. Clarke pushes Tounkara up against the cage, still working to take him down. Big left hand from Tounkara. Stuffs another takedown and he has a guillotine locked in. Clarke escapes. Tounkara now has a rear-naked choke. Clarke working his way up to his feet. Tounkara landing some shots to the side of the head. Tounkara now looking to isolate an arm, looking for an armbar. Clarke escapes and he is now in top position. Tounkara trying to secure a kimura. Clarke trying to escape, he can not. Tounkara not letting go. Clarke dropping elbows to the body and it forces Tounkara to let go. Clarke ends the round on top, but not good enough to steal the round. 10-9 Tounkara
Tounkara is unable to come out for round two with a shoulder injury.
Final result: Clarke def. Tounkara via technical knockout (injury)
Khasan Magomedsharipov vs. Jose Sanchez
Round 1: Low kick from Magomedsharipov. Sanchez goes for a single leg up against the cage. Magomedsharipov defending well. Nice uppercut from Sanchez and he goes for a takedown again, no go. Looping right hand from Sanchez. Lazy low kick from Magomedsharipov and Sanchez once again clinches up against the cage. Sanchez is relentless with his takedown attempts but has yet to score one. Nice right hand from Sanchez lands flush, Magomedsharipov eats it. Clinch against the cage again. Spinning back kick from Magomedsharipov and lands a takedown. Side control for Magomedsharipov. 10-9 Magomedsharipov
Round 2: Sanchez looking to close the distance and throws a huge right hand, Magomedsharipov quickly ties him up and lands a few knees to the body up against the cage. He gets the takedown. Magomedsharipov takes Sanchez’s back, landing some clean shots to the side of the head. Sanchez working his way up to his feet. Magomedsharipov isn’t letting go of his grip and Sanchez is bleeding profusely form his head. Sharipov has both hooks in and he is starting to unload. Sanchez covering up. Magomedsharipov is relentless with his ground-and-pound with two minutes remaining. Sanchez looking for some space, he isn’t getting it. Magomedsharipov now trying to secure a rear-naked choke. 10-9 Magomedsharipov
Round 3: Magomedsharipov scores an early takedown, not good for Sanchez. He takes the back. Sanchez works his way back to his feet and Magomedsharipov drags him back to the canvas. Half guard for Magomedsharipov. Sanchez working some elbows to the side of the head. Sanchez isn’t giving up, I will give him that. Magomedsharipov searching for a possible triangle choke. Not of ton of action in this round since it was mostly played out on the ground. But Magomedsharipov did what he has to do to secure the win. 10-9 Magomedsharipov

Brian Moore vs. Jornel Lugo
Round 1: Jab from Lugo. Moore patient in his attack. Double jab from Lugo. Shot to the body from Lugo. Moore throws a bomb and Lugo slips but he is back up quickly. Lugo grabs a hold of Moore and pushes him up against the cage. Moore with shorts shots, no effect. Lugo looking for a single leg, Moor defending well. Short knee from Lugo lands on the midsection. Another knee from Lugo and they separate. Moore needs to get going here as Lugo lands a nice right hand. Left hook misses for Lugo. High kick blocked by Moore. Inside leg kick from Lugo lands low, Moore taking time to recover after a delayed reaction. Action resumes. Lugo with a shot to the body. Moore working the double jab trying to close the distance. Inside leg kick from Moore. 10-9 Lugo
Round 2: High kick blocked again by Moore. Nice left hook lands for Lugo off the counter. Clinch again and Lugo pushes Moore up against the cage. Kick to the body from Lugo lands, might have been a bit low. Moore lands a stiff right hand off the counter and Lugo bull rushes in with a knee to the midsection. Moore a bit more agressive this round. Lugo goes for the single leg, doesn’t get it. Inside leg kick for Moore. Moore closes the distance, nice shot to the body. Moore tages Lugo with a huge right hand. Lugo eats it well, though. Kick to the body again from Lugo. Moore complaining of an eye poke. Replay shows that Lugo inadvertently poked him, Doctor coming in to check it out. Moore is cleared to continue. Low kick from Moore and he is coming out aggressive. Knee to the body from Lugo. 10-9 Moore
Round 3: Lugo with a huge right hand that lands flush right out of the gates for the third and final round. Looping hook from Lugo. Low lick lands for Lugo. Moore still trying to be aggressive. Looping right hand for Moore and Lugo fires back. Moore lands a huge right hand that gets a reaction from the crows. Moore is starting to throw huge haymakers, nothing really landing. Nice leg lick lands for Moore. Two front kicks from Lugo and Moore pushing forward. Lugo jumps into a flying kick to the body. Really close round, close fight. High kick from Lugo. Moore unloading shots but Lugo evades them all. Great head movement. Nice counter right from Moore forced Lugo back. Clinch up against the cage and they quickly separate. 10-9 Lugo
