WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO and The Ring Light Heavyweight champion, Artur Beterbiev, will face Dmitry Bivol for the second time this Saturday (Feb. 22, 2025) at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the undisputed titles.
The card will stream LIVE on the DAZN digital network at 1 p.m. ET.
Beterbiev defeated Bivol via unanimous decision in their initial bout in Oct. 2024, though not everyone was convinced of the decision — Bivol included, who says he’s not dwelling on the past but looking for a more convincing outing the second time around.
“I don’t care, I don’t even want to count,” Bivol told Boxing Scene about the judges’ scorecards. “I will find that I won more rounds, like seven-five and I will tell myself, ‘Yeah, I did the job, I won, but it wasn’t fair for me’, and this and that and I will be relaxed. I don’t want to be relaxed to find somebody else’s mistake in the fight. It was only my mistake. I could win this fight without doubt.”
The winner of this rematch could very well face current interim WBC Light Heavyweight champion, David Benavidez, who improved his undefeated record to 30-0 a few weeks ago by edging out David Morrell in what proved to be a highly-entertaining affair (video highlights here).
