UFC 169 is in the books and oh what an event it was. There were more decisions than in any UFC event ever, which isn’t necessarily the worst thing, but it’s certainly not the best. The key takeaway for me, though, is that the Jose Aldo tenure at featherweight desperately needs to come to a close.
But whatever one thought of that card, there’s a billion more on the horizon. I’m pretty intrigued by how UFC on FOX 11 is lining up. Ditto for UFC 172 considering Anthony Johnson is returning to the UFC fold. I’m sure there are plenty of others.
In other news, Pat Barry has signed with GLORY, Vitor Belfort says everyone uses performance enhancers in his camp, and BJ Penn is starting to talk with a Brazilian ‘accent’.
Oh, and a who’s who in the combat sports world were in my hometown yesterday. I’ll tell you all about it.
