It’s not too difficult to figure out what we’ll be discussing this time, is it?
On the good side of things, the UFC is staging UFC 175 this weekend, which includes not one, but two title fights. That means it includes top flight fighters, so you know I’m happy. UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman will look to get past former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida while UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey faces her next challenge in Alexis Davis.
There is also The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale the following day, but of the five events UFC is holding in July, that one is, by far, the worst. There’s very little redeemable about it.
On the truly bad side, we have the situation with Chael Sonnen being let go by UFC and Fox Sports in terms of broadcasting duties. I personally don’t think this is the end of the Sonnen’s involvement with either, but he’s at least gone for now.
There’s a lot going on, so join me today to discuss all of this and more. In terms of today’s chat, anything is up for discussion, but I will lead with this and it all kicks off at 1 p.m. ET.
