Day 1 of the Craig Jones Invitational (CJI) is officially in the books … and it was a doozy. In addition to the major upset between Victor Hugo and Lucas Kanard (more on that here), we also had some extracurricular activity in the crowd from top-ranked UFC bantamweight contender Merab Dvalishvili (video here).
I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Day 2.
Tonight’s CJI finale from Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas will stream LIVE in the embedded video above at 8 p.m. ET, featuring the semifinals of the under and over 80kg brackets, the tournament finals, and the “Super Fights” showcasing Mackenzie Dern vs. Ffion Davies and Craig Jones vs. Gabi Garcia.

Day 2 of CJI will overlap with both Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) 2024 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, featuring the return of Gordon Ryan, and the UFC 305: “Du Plessis vs. Adesanya” pay-per-view (PPV) at RAC Arena from Perth, Western Australia. Simply put, it’s a great night to be a combat sports fan.
