More than 2.5 years after emerging from retirement to maul kickboxing ace Tenshin Nasukawa (watch highlights), Floyd Mayweather will return to the exhibition circuit tonight (Sun., June 6, 2021) against YouTuber-turned-pugilist Logan Paul.
MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE coverage of tonight’s main card below, starting with the Showtime PPV broadcast at 8 p.m. ET.
The legendary “Money” Mayweather originally hung up the gloves after a 2015 decision over Andre Berto, only to to re-enter the ring two years later with a stoppage of former UFC champion Conor McGregor. Regardless of tonight’s outcome, that 50-0 record will remain unblemished against Paul, whose one and only professional bout saw him drop a split decision to fellow content creator Olajide “KSI” Olatunji.
The card previously featured an enticing Light Heavyweight rematch between former champions Badou Jack and Jean Pascal, who put on a hell of a show in their first go-around back in 2019. Unfortunately, Pascal recently failed a drug test, leaving “The Ripper” to face late replacement Dervin Colina. Down at Middleweight, former unified 154-pound champion Jarrett Hurd ends a 16-month layoff against Luis Arias, while former NFL great Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson opens the show in a four-round exhibition opposite mixed martial arts (MMA) veteran Brian Maxwell.
