Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White probably thought he was going to roll into the 209, wave his checkbook in front of Nate Diaz during dinner, and then lock up his Conor McGregor rematch long before dessert ever hit the table.
C’mon, son.
By his own admission, White “didn’t have a good day” when he was in Stockton, Calif., though no reason was given as to why the Diaz vs. McGregor rematch — originally booked for the UFC 200 pay-per-view (PPV) in July — did not come to fruition.
Until today.
Diaz is scheduled to appear on a special edition of the MMA Hour (embedded in the video above) at 4 p.m. ET to explain his side of the story and reveal to mixed martial arts (MMA) fans why he’s still not booked for a second go-round with his “Notorious” counterpart.
Get out your popcorn, ladies and gentlemen, this is going to be good.
