Later this evening (Sat., Jan. 19, 2019), Manny Pacquiao looks to build off of his first knockout in ages against the ever-dangerous Adrien Broner inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The show will also feature a clash between top Light Heavyweights Badou Jack and Marcus Browne, as well as a pair of title fights. Three-time U.S. Olympian Rau’shee Warren faces former Olympic foe Nordine Oubaali for the vacant WBC Bantamweight title and Jhack Tepora and unbeaten Filipino Jhack Tepora defends his interim WBA Featherweight belt against former champ Hugo Ruiz.

Welterweight Championship: Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner
Round one: We are underway! Pacquiao gauges the distance with a jab. A lot of feints from both men. Pacquiao rushes in and the two parties clinch. The referee separates things and we’re back to the center. Broner slips by a combination and hugs Pacquiao again. A lightning quick jab from Broner. Pacquiao lunges forward again and another clinch. Broner thus far the more patient boxer. Broner throws a two bunch combo as Pacquiao lunges and partially lands. Pacquiao fires off and lands on Broner. A zapping straight left catches Broner. A slick right uppercut lands for Broner. Pacquiao threw more than 40 punches in that first round. 10-9 Pacquiao, 10-9 overall for Pacquiao.
Round two: Broner probing with the jab. A lot of feints from Pacquiao. Broner just misses with a sweeping left hook. Broner frames off Pacquiao’s chin in the clinch, drawing “ooohs” from the crowd. A stinging right hand lands for Broner. Pacquiao returns fire with the right hand. Broner slips his way out of the corner after being backed up by the Filipino legend. Broner lands a terrific counter right hand as Pacquiao moves in. 10-9 Pacquiao, 20-18 overall for Pacquiao.
Round three: Broner works to establish the Pacquiao aims for the body. Pacquiao lands a crunching left hand and Broner clinches up. Some feints by Pacquiao. A shot to the body by Pacquiao. Broner gets clipped by a left. Pacquiao’s jab is really working for him. Broner clinches up. Broner swings a little wild. Shout out to Pacquiao’s long socks. Pacquiao marches Broner down. Pacquiao lands a sharp jab. Broner is having trouble dealing with all this pressure. 10-9 Pacquiao, 30-27 overall for Pacquiao.
Round four: Broner feinting with that jab. Broner lands a thudding counter right hand as Pacquiao goes to the body. A check left hook lands clean for Broner. Another left hook connects. Pacquiao presses forward and Broner rolls with the punches. Pacquiao partially lands with a left uppercut. A nice jab for Pacquiao. Broner slips by as Pacquiao rushes in and the legendary boxer barrels into the ropes. That gave the commentators a good chuckle. A long counter right hook lands for Pacquiao. It seem Broner is starting to figure out his opponent’s timing a little bit. 10-9 Broner, 39-37 overall for Pacquiao.
Round five: Broner keeps the shift in momentum going, starting off the round with a crisp right hand. He ducks past a lunging punch from Pacquiao. A counter right hand lands for Broner. Pacquiao is having more trouble landing clean. Broner seems to have found the distance on his jab. Pacquiao throws a looping left hand and it’s partially blocked. Broner fires back with a jab that lands flush. Pacquiao just misses with a left cross. Broner blocks a blitzing combination from his opponent. 10-9 Broner, 48-47 overall for Pacquiao.
Round six: Pacquiao rushes in with a combination. It is punctuated with a flush left to the head. Pacquiao backs Broner up to the ropes. A thudding strike to the body lands for Pacquiao. 23-1 lead in bodyshots for Pacquiao. Another crunching shot to Broner’s body. Another one to the body. Broner just misses with the lead right. Another lead right skims Pacquiao. A blocked left straight to the head opens up Broder’s body for a massive right to the body. Broder lands a big hook to end the round, but it might not have been enough. 10-9 Pacquiao, 58-56 overall for Pacquiao.
Round seven: Pacquiao keeps pushing the pace. He barrels forward with a multi-punch combination and lands a couple on Broner. They trade jabs. Pacquiao has thrown more than double Broner’s punches. Pacquiao has Broner against the rope and launches strikes to the head and body. It is nonstop and Broner can do nothing but cover up! Broner gets the head clinch after being staggered. Right back to it. Pacquiao is looking to get Broner out of there! The round ends with Broner trying to survive. By far Pacquiao’s biggest round. 10-9 Pacquiao, 68-65 overall for Pacquiao.
Round eight: A nice counter uppercut from Broner. Another counter right hand lands for Broner. Pacquiao just slips past a big left hook. A great right hand lands over Broner’s guard. Broner with a counter right bounces off Pacquiao’s dome. Pacquiao has Broder against the ropes and tags him with a jab. One to the body for good measure. 10-9 Pacquiao, 78-74 overall for Pacquiao.
Round nine: A nice jab for Broner. A looping right grazes Broner. A right hand followed by a short left to the body for Pacquiao. A shot to the body for Pacquiao. A big left lands for Pacquiao. Broner shoots for a single leg takedown on Pacquiao. Who turned the channel to UFC Brooklyn? An audible boo from the crowd. Pacquiao keeps Broner guessing with the jab. Broner with a great right cross as Pacquiao looks for the body shot. A thunderous left hand from Pacquiao staggers Broner. Pacquiao has Broner against the ropes and is throwings HANDS! Broner fires a jab and just slips by a baseball bat-like right cross. 10-9 Pacquiao, 88-83 overall for Pacquiao.
Round ten: We have hit double digits. Round 10 underway. Broner’s power punching accuracy in this fight is half of what it normally is. A lot of feints from both boxers. Broner sticks the jab but doesn’t follow up. A lot of single punches by Broner. Pacquiao presses forwards and digs a left to Broner’s body. A little more offensive output from Broner as he sticks a jab to the body. Pacquiao has 42 body shots landed to Broner’s 2. Broder is 11 years the junior but that is doing nothing for him. Broner tries for a one-two but Pacquiao gets the shield up. A counter left lands for Broner. A great right hand catches Broner on the chin. 10-9 Pacquiao, 98-82 overall for Pacquiao.
Round eleven: A great one-two partially lands for Broner off the counter. You can sense a little more urgency in Broner. Pacquiao fires the right back-to-back. Broner feeds Pacquiao a jab. Pacquiao is making the most of that open body from the southpaw stance. A lot less activity this round from Pacquiao. Another shot to the body for Pacquiao. Broner is having trouble pulling the trigger when Pacquiao initiates and is also falling for Pacquiao’s feints. A jab partially lands for Pacquiao to close out the round. 10-9 Pacquiao, 108-91 overall for Pacquiao.
Round twelve: The final round is upon us. Broner should be looking for a knockout. Broner still comfortable letting Pacquiao lead the dance. A right cross to the body for Pacquiao. 109-49 lead in punches landed for Pacquiao. There is a mouse underneath the left eye of Pacquiao but it does not seem to be bothering him. A right hook partially lands for Pacquiao and Broner avoids the followup left. Snapping jabs from Broner but nothing sticks. A nice jab from Pacquiao followed by a two-punch combination. Pacquiao must know he is ahead but still presses the action. 20 seconds left for Broder to shock the world. Another jab for Pacquiao. 10 seconds left. The crowd is on their feet. Pacquiao with the Ali Shuffle just to make a statement. An emotional Pacquiao sits on his knees and bows against the corner. 10-9 Pacquiao, 118-100 overall for Pacquiao.
