Professional Fighters League (PFL) will return later TODAY (Sat., Aug. 20, 2022) with its second event in as many weeks as the 2022 playoff season continues inside Copper Box Arena in London, England, airing on ESPN. Headlining the event will be Lightweight champion, Kayla Harrison, taking on Martina Jindrova in the semifinals. Both talented ladies will attempt to move one step closer to the $1 million prize at the end of the year.

In the co-main event, Chris Wade and Brendan Loughnane will collide in the Featherweight semifinals. In further action, Bubba Jenkins will battle Japan’s Ryoji Kudo in another 145-pound qualifier matchup.

155 lbs.: Kayla Harrison vs. Martina Jindrova
Round 1: A lot of movement from both ladies, but not a lot of strikes thrown to start. Harrison shoots and gets the takedown and is in side control. Harrison dropping down hammer firsts. Jindrova holding on. Harrison looking for the dreaded crucifix position. North-south position and back to side control for Harrison. Jindrova using the cage to try and escape but Harrison is now in full mount. Harrison dishing some ground-and-pound. Harrison dropping some shots from top position and Jindrova is in trouble here. Jindrova trying to buck Harrison off, but she is too strong. Harrison looking or an arm triangle. She has it. Jindrova taps. Another dominant win for Harrison, who will be looking to win her third-straight million-dollar prize in her next fight.

145 lbs.: Chris Wade vs. Brendan Loughnane
Round 1: Loughnane constantly changing stances. Wade trying to close the distance and he does just that. He pushes Loughnane up against the cage, but Loughnane fires off some knees to force the separation. Big head kick from Wade hurts Loughnane and Wade manages to get a takedown. Now in full guard. Loughnane kicks Wade off and they are back to the feet. Loughnane lands a huge left hand, and then a monster right hand. Wade changes levels and goes in for the takedown after tasting Loughnane’s power. Action up against the cage, fighting for position and control here. Loughnane with a kick to the body and Wade returns fire with a calf kick. Spinning shit kick from Loughnane. He changes levels and goes in for the takedown. What an entertaining opening round. 10-9 Loughnane
Round 2: Nice jab from Loughnane. Wade returns fire with a solid kick to the body. Calf kick from Loughnane, and then a jab. Right hook from Loughnane lands and Wade is a bit stiffled at the moment with all the different strikes Loughnane is throwing at him. Wade with a double jab. One-two from Loughnane, Wade returns fire with a high kick. Loughnane with another left hand whips Wade’s neck back. Calf kick from Loughnane, and Wade is starting to feel those. Wade can’t seem to get his offensive rhythm going. Wade goes in for the takedown and Loughnane evades. Wade with a nice leg kick. Big left hook from Loughnane lands, he is on fire with his striking and Wade keep running right into the shots. High kick from Loughnane, kick to the body. 10-9 Loughnane
Round 3: Wade coming in hot, a bit more aggressive. Wade lands a nice left hook. Loughnane not taking a step back. Right hand lands for Loughnane. Low kick lands for Wade but Loughnane keeps going up top. Spinning backfist lands for Loughnane, then a jab lands cleanly for the Brit. Wade pushes Loughnane up against the cage, he needs to get busy down 0-2. Kick to the body lands for Loughnane. Spinning back kick to the body lands for Wade, then a 1-2. Wade really putting it together now, but it might be too little, too late, if he doesn’t get the finish with one minute remaining in the fight. Loughane is now busted open and is bleeding quite a bit. Action is now up against the cage, Loughnane lands a knee to the face as the fight comes to an end. 10-9 Loughnane
Final result: Loughnane def. Wade via unanimous decision
155 lbs.: Larissa Pacheco vs. Olena Kolesnyk
Round 1: Pacheco lands a front kick to the body. Pacheco stalking. High kick from Pacheco and she lands a huge right hand that rocks Kolesnyk. Nice left hook from Kolesnyk in response. Front kick from Kolesnyk. Pacheco with a 1-2 combo. She lands a left hook and down goes Kolesnyk. Pacheco swarms in on her downed opponent and she starts unloading strikes until the referee steps in to put an end to the fight after several unanswered shots. Pacheco punches her ticket to the one-million dollar fight.
Final result: Pacheco def. Kolesnyk via first-round TKO
145 lbs.: Ryoji Kudo vs. Bubba Jenkins
Round 1: Jenkins shoots right off the bak, grabs a hold of Kudo and he connects on back-to-back suplexes. WOW!. Jenkins looking for one more but Kudo is holding on strong. Kudo reverses position and pushes Jenkins up against the cage, Jenkins reverses position and he takes Kudo’s back. He grabs a hold of the rear-naked choke. He has it tight and Kudo has no other choice but to tap. What an impressive performance from Jenkins, who moves on to the next round and is one step closer to a one-million dollar fight.
Final result: Jenkins def. Kudo via first round submission (rear-naked choke)
125 lbs.: Dakota Ditcheva vs. Hassna Jaber
Round 1: Jaber coming out swinging bombs. Ditcheva a bit more reserved, but she tags Jaber with a sold right hand that whips her head back. She lands a push kick and she drops Jaber. Back up to the feet and Ditcheva pushes her foe up against the cage. Ditcheva landing two hard knees to the midsection of Jaber, who calls for the ref and drops to the canvas in pain. The referee steps in and stops the fight because Jaber is in obvious pain and can not continue. A rather antic-climactic finish, but a great win for Ditcheva nonetheless.
Final result: Ditcheva def. Jaber via first-round submission due to strikes
205 lbs.: Simeon Powell vs. Joao Paulo Fagundes
Round 1: Jab from Powell connects. Nice leg kick from Fagundes, Powell fires off another jab. Calf kick from Powell. Fagunes stalking his foe down. Right hand from Fagundes lands. Another low kick from Fagundes, going to the well with it. Huge right hand from Fagundes barely misses its mark. Powell grabs a hold of Fagundes and turns him into the cage with tight double underhooks. Knees from Fagundes, tussling for position up against the cage. They start swinginf bombs and Fagundes is putting on the pressure, Powell isn’t backing down one but. Powell changes levels and gets the takedown. Likely stole the round for him here. In half guard at the moment, and Powell gets back up and dives in with a huge hammer fist to close out the round. 10-9 Powell
Round 2: They clinch early to start round two and Powell scores another impressive takedown and is now in full guard. Fagundes manages to get the fight back to the feet. Powell lands a nasy calf kick that wobbles Fagundes. His lead leg is in trouble. Powell tags Fagundes and Fagundes goes down to the canvas in pain from his leg. He gets back up and Powell lands one more vicious calf kick that drops Fagundes, and the referee wisely steps in to stop the fight. That was highly-impressive from Powell.
Final result: Powell def. Fagundes via second-round TKO
