Headlining the ESPN/ESPN+ fight card is the Featherweight showdown between No. 4-ranked Calvin Kattar and No. 7-seeded Josh Emmett, two experienced strikers looking to make a name for themselves in the crowded 145-pound title chase. Round 1: Lots of feints early. One minute in. Nobody committing to anything. Emmett just misses with a 1-2. Big flurry on the fence, no connections. Two minutes in. Heavy 1-2 by Kattar. Stiff jab. Emmett lands an overhand in combination. Heavy low kick, 3-2 falls short. Two minutes to go.

Stiff jabs from Kattar. Emmett cut near his left eye, doesn’t look like a bad spot. One minute to go. Kattar lands a front kick downstairs. Good body shot from Emmett. Big exchange on the fence. He shoots, denied, lands on the break. 10-9 Emmett.

Round 2: Emmett tries to burst in, lands an overhand right in combination. More combinations from Emmett, heavy left hook. One minute in. Front kick to the face from Kattar. Cross counter connects. Kattar falling short with big swings. Emmett low kick, quick exchange two minutes in. Clean jabs by Kattar. Lead elbow attempt. Low-high 3-2 lands for Emmett, who walks into a counter right. Round 3: Kattar continuing to work behind his jab. One minute in. Emmett fires a flurry, makes a couple of clean connections. Hard body shots. Lead right from Kattar, then a lead elbow. Emmett digs a right downstairs and they trade jabs two minutes in. Kattar jabs, Emmett low kick. Exchanging hard rights. Clean uppercuts from Kattar. Two minutes to go.

Both looking for elbows. Emmett flurries to the body and head with a minute to go. Kattar lancing him with the jab, bites on a feint and eats an overhand right. Nasty Emmett body shot, hard exchange. Another body shot by Emmett. Overhand right on the counter. 10-9 Emmett.

Round 4: Kattar still pumping the jab. Both miss in a heavy exchange. Slick Kattar combo. Emmett answers with a low kick. One minute in. Kattar blasts him with a 3-2 for one of his best combos in a while. One minute in. Kattar starting to put them together. Cross counter, clean jab. Emmett tries to blitz, tries to shoot, neither succeed. Two minutes in. Big elbow from Kattar just misses. Continuing to fire his left hand. Emmett rips the body and they slug with two minutes to go.

Kattar feints a knee, then follows up with a clean spinning elbow that Emmett absorbs without issue. Clean 1-2 catches Emmett spinning and Kattar tries to pursuit. More clean jabs by Kattar. One minute to go. Emmett shoots, rebuffed, blocks an elbow. Jabs piling up for Kattar. Emmett goes for a late surge, falls short. Big swings. 10-9 Kattar.

Round 5: Emmett’s left eye is in bad shape but he can still see, so we start the final round. Kattar putting his punches together. One minute in. Emmett falls short with a blitz. Three-piece blocked. Hard uppercut from Kattar. Overhand right, waving Emmett on. Emmett shoots, denied. Low kick connects, looks for body shots. Two minutes in. Kattar check hook. 1-3, 2-1. Big Kattar uppercut and they trade in center cage. Lead elbow attempt, clean jabs. Two minutes to go.

Emmett ends a combo with a head kick. Still winging the overhands but not landing clean at this stage. There’s a solid combo. Kattar cracks him with the jab in return. One minute to go. Emmett on the attack in the final minute as Kattar lances him with jabs. Big exchange. Emmett charges and they trade spinning elbow attempts. 10-9 Kattar but pretty much every round but the fourth could go either way.

Final result: Emmett def. Kattar by split decision


170 lbs.: Kevin Holland vs. Tim Means

Round 1: Good exchange to start. Means shoots against the fence. They separate. Two good left hands from Means. They trade in center cage a minute in. Holland side kick, avoids a spin. Head kick attempts. He rushes, eats a left hand, digs a knee inside. Reactive shot from Means puts him on top two minutes in. Holland scrambles up and hurts Means with some winging hooks. Jockeying for position against the fence. Two minutes to go.

Holland circles out and they chirp for a bit. Body kick and a combo behind it. Means body kick. Holland tries some of his own and they slug it out with a minute to go. Looping right hook. Holland feints low and cracks Means with a straight right, prompting a takedown. 10-9 Holland.

Round 2: Both fire body kicks. Big flurry from Holland. Spinning back fist whiffs, low kick does not. Holland changes levels, bails when Means considers a guillotine. One minute in. Means lands to the body, then gets short-circuited by a hard right hand. Holland bears down on him and wraps up a d’arce for the finish.

Final result: Holland def. Means by submission (d’arce choke)


185 lbs.: Joaquin Buckley vs. Albert Duraev

Round 1: Buckley tries a head kick, falls short with body shots. Low kick. Duraev looks for a counter right, then gets wobbled by a head kick and waves Buckley on. Failed shot a minute in. Duraev low kick. Lead right blocked. Two minutes in. Wild blitz from Buckley makes him slip. Heavy head kick from Duraev that Buckley eats without issue. Duraev backs away from a flurry. Two minutes to go.

Both fire head kicks. Hard counter left catches Duraev coming in and prompts a shot, which Buckley denies. One minute to go. 1-2 by Duraev. Buckley tries to rush in, can’t connect. Duraev low kick. Buckley blitzes, finds the mark with a straight left. 10-9 Buckley.

Round 2: Both swinging hard early. Buckley lands a counter left and denies a level change. Head kick attempt. One minute in. Head kick catches Duraev shooting. Better shot from Duraev and he completes it against the fence. Buckley working his way up, eats a knee on the break. Duraev’s left eye looks swollen shot. Buckley denies another shot two minutes in. Overhand left lands and puts Duraev on his butt. Straight left. Another long left. Duraev shoots in response. Successful takedown with two minutes to go.

Buckley trying to use the fence again. One minute to go. Nice sweep from Buckley and he puts Duraev on the fence. They separate. Buckley tries a two-touch back kick. Two-piece drops Duraev again. 10-9 Buckley.

Duraev’s eye is an absolute mess and they rightly wave it off between rounds.

Final result: Buckley def. Duraev by TKO (doctor stoppage)


155 lbs.: Damir Ismagulov vs. Guram Kutateladze

Round 1: Tentative start, neither man committing. One minute in. Kutateladze to the body. Ismagulov comes back with a clean 1-2, gets backed off by a two-piece. Low-high left hooks by Kutateladze. Low kick connects two minutes in. Ismagulov fires a body shot and grabs a body lock, eating a knee but landing a two-piece on the exit. More jabs landing. Swatting right on the exit. Two minutes to go.

Kutateladze avoids an uppercut and shoots in. Brutal knees form Kutateladze and an elbow to follow up. Teeing off with elbows against the fence and another knee, then a foot sweep. Ismagulov spins into a single-leg attempt, can’t get it. One minute to go. Solid right cross lands for him, then a low kick and left hook. Trading near the fence. Kutateladze follows a front kick with a clean left hook to prompt a shot form Ismagulov, who lands a right on the exit. Ismagulov blasts him with an uppercut after avoiding a head kick. Kutateladze body kick and one last exchange before the bell. 10-9 Kutateladze.

Round 2: Stiff jab from Ismagulov. Check hook connects. Body kick. Double switch kick by Kutateladze in response, then a lead right. Combo from Ismagulov. One minute in. Kutateladze low kick, just misses on a Brazilian kick. Ismagulov falls just short with a long cross. Solid combination. Two minutes in. More jabs. Kutateladze low kicks and he shoots. Rebuffed and Ismagulov reverses. Swatting right on the exit. Brutal pull counter right from Ismagulov, then they exchange clean rights. Quick combo from Kutateladze, who shoots and eats a knee. Two minutes to go.

Ismagulov cracks him with a right after denying another takedown. He’s doing a solid job of staying out of range. Kutateladze 1-2, Ismagulov body shot. More jabs by Ismagulov, who avoids a head kick. Brutal body kick lands for Kutateladze. Wheel kick misses. Combination from Ismagulov with a minute to go. More jabs. Continuing to land. Kutateladze body kick. 1-2. 10-9 Ismagulov.

Round 3: Kutateladze pushing forward. Body and low kicks. 1-1-2 from Ismagulov kicks off a long combo. Low kick. That jab’s nasty. Long right behind it, then a reactive shot that Kutateladze denies a minute in. Kutateladze low kick. More 1-2 volleys from Ismagulov, who sneaks in a body shot and eats another low kick. Check hook. Kutateladze conitnuing to attack the lead leg as Ismagulov tries to answer with punches. Two minutes in. Nice exchange in center cage. More calf kicks by Kutateladze. Ismagulov fakes a flying attack and shoots. Kutateladze denies with an underhook and reverses. Nice elbow on the break. Two minutes to go.

Kutateladze tries to spin, rebuffs a takedown after trying an axe kick. Body kick. Trading in the center. Hard Ismagulov uppercut. One minute to go. Kutateladze really tearing up that calf, can’t land a takedown. Another attempt, denied, fires a knee. Heavy counter right by Ismagulov, his best shot of the round. Both shoot at once and Ismagulov takes him down, but can’t keep him there. Kutateladze drives a knee to the chest and Herb Dean, noted idiot, claims it was an illegal shot to the face. Kutateladze body kick when they stand up, then a right hand from Ismagulov to cap off a great fight. 10-9 Kutateladze.

Final result: Ismagulov def. Kutateladze by majority decision


185 lbs.: Julian Marquez vs. Gregory Rodrigues

Round 1: Low kick from Marquez. Rodrigues misses with a combination. One minute in. Two-piece lands for him. Heavy counter right knocks Marquez back. Quick jabs. Low kick to left hook from Marquez, who gets dropped by a 2-1. Rodrigues landing from turtle position, then jumps on his back. Marquez removes his hooks two minutes in and they separate. Rodrigues lands to the body and Marquez tries to unload. Another combo from Rodrigues and an uppercut drops Marquez again. Another uppercut knockdown. A swarm of elbows and punches just clobbering Marquez, who throws back but he’s out on his feet. A missile of a straight right hand gets around Marquez’s guard and sends him down like a felled tree.

Final result: Rodrigues def. Marquez by KO (punches)


135 lbs.: Tony Kelley vs. Adrian Yanez

Round 1: Kelley tossing out kicks, tries a flying knee. Continuing to circle as Yanez steadily advances. One minute in. Yanez body kick, blocks kicks in return. Kelley body kick soon after. Yanez counters a body kick with a combination. Yanez body shot, Kelley two-piece, Yanez counter left two minutes in. Quick exchange. Both land lefts. Straight right splits Kelley’s guard and Yanez follows with a counter hook and body shot. More body work by Yanez and he wobbles Kelley with a glancing shot. Kelley comes back with a lengthy combo with tow minutes to go.

Brutal counter right huts Kelley again. Yanez sharpshooting around the guard, eats a body kick. Long counter right. Yanez combinations puling up and an absolute ripper of a sequence sends Kelley crumping to the mat, where Yanez demolishes him with pinpoint power shots to put him away.

Final result: Yanez def. Kelley by TKO (punches)


125 lbs.: Jasmine Jasudavicius vs. Natalia Silva

Round 1: Silva opens with low kicks as she circles. Side kicks to the body. Head kick attempt. Hard left hooks catch Jasudavicius coming in and briefly drop her, but she ties up against the fence a minute in. Short clinch strikes. Inside trip attempt denied. They separate two minutes in. Silva lands a right cross to body kick. Low kick. Quick exchange. 2-3, head kick just misses. Rapid 1-2. Spinning back kick downstairs. Low to head kick. Two minutes to go.

Silva continuing to send out kicks as she circles. Not a lot coming from Jasudavicius at the moment. There’s a body jab at least, but she eats a 1-2 right after. Jasudavicius shoots with a minute to go. Jockeying for position. Knees to the body. 10-9 Silva.

Round 2: Sharp left hands from Silva. Quick 1-2. Jasudavicius lumbering after her, eats a heavy left hook. Rapid combo by Silva lands but allows Jasudavicius to tie up. Silva counters with a hip toss a minute in. Jasudavicius sits up for another takedown attempt, rebuffed. They separate. Silva 1-2, spinning back kick attempt. Low kick two minutes in. 2-3, low kick. She’s running circles around Jasudavicius. Fast two-piece. The footwork and head movement are giving Jasudavicius fits. Long-distance double-leg from Jasudavicius, but Silva denies it before hitting a big outside reap. She pins down an arm and blasts away with elbows with two minutes in.

Jasudavicius manages to stand and separate. Spinning back kick attempt from Silva. Low kick. Wheel kick lands around the guard. 1-2. Again. One minute to go. 1-2-3-head kick. There’s a decent straight right from Jasudavicius, who eats one in return soon after. Jab and calf kick from Silva. Spinning back kick. 10-8 Silva.

Round 3: Silva’s speed and movement continue to be too much for Jasudavicius. Low kick and double left hook by Silva. 1-2. Quick jab. Head kick attempt a minute in. Low kick lands. Jasudavicius failing to cut off the cage and getting picked off whenever she tries to step in. Another 1-2 bounces off her head. Double-leg attempt from Jasudavicius two minute in. They separate. Silva 1-2 and low kick. Quick right hands with two minutes to go.

Jasudavicius tries to clinch, denied. Another Silva 1-2. Jasudavicius charging after her and ties up on the fence. They separate with 45 seconds left. Jasudavicius tries a flying knee and gets clinched. Separation. 1-2-body kick from Silva. Counter right, spinning back kick, counter hook as Jasudavicius flies in with a desperation attack. 10-9 Silva.

Final result: Silva def. Jasudavicius by unanimous decision


170 lbs.: Court McGee vs. Jeremiah Wells

Round 1: McGee looks for a body jab. 1-2. Low kick. Another body jab as he avoids a blitz a minute in. Just as McGee seems to be controlling the distance, Wells leaps in with a left hook that knocks McGee stiff on impact.

Final result: Wells def. McGee by KO (punch)


145 lbs.: Danny Chavez vs. Ricardo Ramos

Round 1: Ramos advancing, gets a body kick caught and answered with a counter right. Chavez calf kick. More spinning and flying stuff from Ramos. Quick counters from Chavez. The next time Chavez’s back hits the fence, Ramos connects with an absolutely perfect spinning elbow that freezes Chavez in place. A couple more punches and he goes down in a heap.

Final result: Ramos def. Chavez by KO (spinning back elbow and punches)


115 lbs.: Gloria de Paula vs. Maria Oliveira

Round 1: Oliveira super aggressive early, starting with a flying knee and following with power combos. Landing well as de Paula tries to potshot and counter. Flying knee to left hook. Lengthy blitz a minute in. Oliveira showing impressive volume but gets cracked by a counter that knocks her mouthpiece out. Another flying knee attempt two minutes in. de Paula to the body. Solid knees in the clinch. Oliveira’s pace is normalizing. They trade low kicks with two minutes to go.

de Paula backs away from a blitz and gets slung to the mat soon after. Decent lefts, blocks a combo in return. Hard 1-2s land for de Paula, who finally does her own showboating after Oliveira’s offerings. One minute to go. Thai knees. Oliveira changes levels in return, eats elbows before separating. Low kick exchange, flurry bounces off of de Paula’s guard. de Paula 1-2. Hard right to end things. 10-9 de Paula on the late work.

Round 2: de Paula now advancing as they trade punches. Teep downstairs. Oliveira blitz blocked. de Paula 3-2, backs away from the return fire. One minute in. Low kick. Clean jab. She’s using distance well to advance without getting caught in return. 1-2, avoids a flurry. Low kick to 2-1 two minutes in. Oliveira tries a jumping tomahawk something. de Paula continuing to push forward, walks into a right cross. Brutal four-piece by de Paula, best shots of the fight. Clean low kick. Two minutes to go.

Oliveira fires a glancing flurry on the retreat. Body kick. Lead right by de Paula. Again, quick exchange. One minute to go. Both landing low kicks. de Paula follows with a 1-2 and smoothly avoids a blitz. Low kick to body kick. There’s a nice flurry for Oliveira and de Paula responds with a takedown into guard. 10-9 de Paula.

Round 3: Counter 1-2 from de Paula as she backs away from flurries. Oliveira just falling short with most of her offense at this point. Both attempt head kicks, jabs land for de Paula. Knee attempt with a minute to go. de Paula continuing to land and then slip out of range. Jabs, left hook. 1-2. Oliveira still going for it. Flurry to knee. Two minutes in. Low kick exchange. de Paula shoots, denied via underhooks. Oliveira gets the body lock and trips her down into half guard. Back to full. Oliveira lets her up with two minutes to go.

Big flurry from Oliveira, flying knee attempt. Good exchange, heavy cross and left hook by de Paula. She’s advancing again, lands another 1-2. Oliveira changes levels and drags her down via body lock into guard. Oliveira lets her up again with 45 seconds to go. de Paula marching after her and landing hard, denies a takedown via whizzer. She ends the fight in side control. 10-9 de Paula but the first and third could go either way.

Final result: Oliveira def. de Paula by split decision


135 lbs.: Cody Stamann vs. Eddie Wineland

Round 1: Both open with kicks, then trade jabs. Glancing 1-2 from Stamann takes out out Wineland’s legs and he goes on the attack. Impressive resilience from Wineland as he tries to throw back but Stamann just absolutely unloads against the fence until the ref intervenes for a standing TKO.

Final result: Stamann def. Wineland by TKO (punches)


185 lbs.: Phil Hawes vs. Deron Winn

Round 1: Stiff jabs from Hawes, who scores a brief knockdown with an elbow behind it. More jabs piling up. Low kick from Winn. Overhand right behind it a minute in, Hawes answers with a straight right. Quick exchanges, Hawes still targeting those elbows. Nice body work. Sneaky left hook and cross behind it. 3-2, then another that drops Winn hard. Winn manages to stand and Hawes stays patient. Two minutes in. Clean 1-2. Another one. Hawes is landing virtually everything he throws. Another long right buzzes Winn. Step-in elbow drops him again. Hard body shot by Hawes. Clean elbow. This is target practice. Two minutes to go.

Winn winging the occasional overhand, can’t land clean. More Hawes elbows inside and Winn is hurt again. Snap kick downstairs by Hawes, ramrod jab. left elbow in combination. Lead elbow, then from the other side. Hawes is at >70% on his significant strikes. Vicious straight right. Winn feints a takedown. Brutal 1-2, Winn tries a 1-2 behind it. Heavy left hook from Hawes. 10-7 Hawes.

Round 2: Head kicks from Hawes re-open Winn’s cut. Trading in the center. Front kick to the face barely misses. Level elbow. Snap kick. 1-2, 1-2-body shot. Winn suddenly hurts Hawes with a low-high two-piece, but gets hurt by another elbow. More elbows from Hawes, who takes Winn down and starts dropping hard right hands. Winn makes it back to his feet two minutes in. Hawes tries a takedown, lands a knee. Both land elbows. Another counter elbow by Hawes has Winn retreating. Hawes on the attack, lands another murderous elbow to answer a body shot. More elbows. Winn opens up in return, stuffs a takedown with two minutes to go.

Hawes looking like he’s feeling the pace but still battering Winn. Hard knees to the head. Winn swinging like mad, gets blasted by a knee and head kick. Another elbow. Good lord, someone save this man. Clean head kick with a minute to go. Another elbow flurry and finally the ref intervenes after one of the nastiest beatings in recent memory.

Final result: Hawes def. Winn by TKO (elbows)


185 lbs.: Kyle Daukaus vs. Roman Dolidze

Round 1: Daukaus opens with kicks, only for the pair to clash heads. Dolidze comes out aggressively on the break and drops Daukaus with a looping left hook. Daukaus manages to weather it, but after getting back to his feet, Dolidze crumples him with a murderous knee to the head.

Final result: Dolidze def. Daukaus by TKO (knee)
