170 lbs.: Leon Edwards vs. Belal Muhammad

Round 1: Edwards takes a glancing low blow to start. He sends out some kicks. Muhammad tries to double up the overhand right, lands a jab. One minute in. 1-1-2 from Edwards. He puts Muhammad on the fence. Changes levels, denied, elbow form Muhammad on the break. They trade in the center. Two minutes in. Head kick from Edwards wobbles Muhammad and opens a small cut on the side of his head. Edwards patiently stalking after a big initial rush. Muhammad puts him on the fence. They separate with two minutes to go.

Muhammad lands a jab. Edwards switches stance to land one of his own, eats a body kick and pokes Muhammad in the eye. Only a brief pause. Body kick from Edwards with a minute to go. More jabs from Muhammad, who gets cracked by a 1-2 in return. Low kick from Edwards, who catches a kick and tries an elbow on the break. Muhammad sends out a wheel kick that falls short. 10-9 Edwards.

Round 2: Muhammad takes another eye poke and this one’s horrific. He’s screaming in pain and totally unable to see, breaking down sobbing. The ref correctly waves it off.

Final result: No contest (eye poke)


205 lbs.: Misha Cirkunov vs. Ryan Spann

Round 1: Spann advances early, eats some right hooks. Stiff jab from Cirkunov, then a low blow. 1-3 lands for him when they resume. Another 1-3, then Spann drops him with a right hand. Spann tries to polish him off, then lets him up. A heavy overhand left drops Cirkunov again and Spann polishes him off.

Final result: Spann def. Cirkunov by TKO (punches)


145 lbs.: Dan Ige vs. Gavin Tucker

Round 1: Tucker starts the fight mobile, feeling things out, before stepping in and getting knocked into oblivion by a perfect counter right.

Final result: Ige def. Tucker by KO (punch)


135 lbs.: Davey Grant vs. Jonathan Martinez

Round 1: Hard low kicks from Grant to start. Martinez tries to go high. Both throwing lots of early kicks. One minute in. Body shot from Grant, eats a leg kick in return. He tries a wheel kick. Side kicks. Good low kick from Martinez spins Grant around. Grant comes back with a three-piece. Two minutes in. Martinez lands calf kicks to both legs. Grant looks to answer in kind. 1-2 from Martinez. Two minutes to go.

Grant trying some spinning kicks, lands a right hook around the guard. Body kick from Martinez with a minute to go. Grant lands a side kick. Big left from Martinez sends Grant to the mat. He follows Grant down and gets tied up in guard, allowing Grant to survive the round. 10-9 Martinez.

Round 2: Good punches from Grant after Martinez slips. He shoots, denied, eats a left hook. Body shot from Grant. One minute in. Grant continuing to target the midsection. Low kick, good right hand. Martinez tries a head kick, lands a looping left and jab. Two minutes in. 3-2 stings Martinez. Body kicks from Grant. Overhand left lands for Martinez. He eats a calf kick, sends out jabs. Grant rips a right hook to the body, then comes over the top with an absolutely horrific left hand that sends Martinez crashing to the mat. What a finish.

125 lbs.: Matheus Nicolau vs. Manel Kape

Round 1: Hard low kick from Nicolau to start. Kape lands one a bit later and denies a level change. One minute in. Nicolau low kick. Kape steadily advancing. Nicolau jabs the body, shoots under a left hand and drags him down into half guard. Kape scoots to the fence, trying to stand, gets caught in a guillotine. He pops his head out and separates with two minutes to go.

Spinning back kick attempt from Kape. Low kick from Nicolau in return and he scores a takedown after avoiding a flying knee. Back to guard with a minute to go. Nicolau chips away and snuffs out submission attempts until the bell. 10-9 Nicolau.

Round 2: Nicolau tries a high kick, avoids a front kick. Hard counter uppercut buzzes Nicolau, who fails on a takedown attempt. Big flurries from Kape. Sharp counter right. One minute in. Counter left knocks Nicolau back. He lands a left, eats a combo. Big left hook. Nicolau cracks him with a heavy overhand right. Kape continuing to press forward near the fence, digs some hard body shots. Two minutes in. Right hook from Kape, then another, walking through a right hand in return. Fake knee to right hand, Nicolau comes back with a left hook. Nice body shot. Left hook upstairs. Nicolau shoots, can’t establish with two minutes to go.

Overhand right again by Nicolau. Kape low kick. Double right hook. Right hand against the fence, denies a level change. Nicolau just can’t get off the fence. He slips throwing a low kick with a minute to go. Good left hooks by Nicolau. Kape tries a flying knee, lands a 1-2. Tries to spin at the bell. 10-9 Kape.

Round 3: Early low kicks from Kape. 2-1 from Nicolau, glancing body kick. They trade leg kicks a minute in. Nice shifting left from the Brazilian, then an overhand right. Double left hook inside, jab exchange. Check hook by Kape, who has to fight off a single-leg and does so. Standing over Nicolau and kicking his legs two minutes in. Back to the feet. Left hook and low kick from Nicolau. Good right hand and they slug in the center. Two minutes to go.

Nicolau getting the better of these exchanges. Kape with a low kick and right hand, eats body shots. Sharp right by Nicolau. One minute to go. Kape tries a head kick. Lead right by Nicolau, tries to change levels. Again, neither successful. Body shot lands for him. Big knee by Kape catches Nicolau leaning. Another brutal knee to the body. Nicolau lands a spinning elbow and eats a right hand. Very close. 10-9 Kape.

Final result: Nicolau def. Kape by split decision


185 lbs.: Eryk Anders vs. Darren Stewart

Round 1: Low kick from Stewart to start. Counter left appears to sting Anders. Anders advances and they exchange. Stewart already taunting a minute in. Stewart pressing forward with shots, gets taken to the fence. Anders keeping him against the side of the cage. Two minutes in. Anders changes levels again, denied, continues to grind. They separate for a moment and Anders cracks him with two straight lefts before changing levels. Knees to the face against the fence with two minutes to go.

Anders gets him to his knees, can’t keep him there. Slugging on the feet, hard knee and left hand by Anders. Heavy punches. Huge left hand and down goes Stewart! Anders pounding away as Stewart works his way back to the feet. More huge shots and a takedown, but he fires an illegal knee as Stewart’s on one knee. Stewart takes a bit of time to recover, but wants to continue. Despite this, the doctor’s not happy with his balance and they wave it off. Welp.

Final result: No contest (illegal knee)


115 lbs.: Angela Hill vs. Ashley Yoder

Round 1: Hill advancing, lands low kicks and a counter right. Yoder threatens a counter knee. One minute in. Double right hand from Hill, takes a body kick in return. Low kick and another hard right hand. Counter left by Yoder. Combination from Hill and she puts Yoder on the fence, landing knees downstairs. Two minutes in. Yoder trying to set up a head-and-arm throw, loses it. She tries a whizzer throw, denied. Hard elbow by Hill. Two minutes to go.

Hill keeping Yoder against the fence, landing knees downstairs. Yoder separates after another unsuccessful head-and-arm. Back to the mid-range exchanges. One minute to go. Left hand lands for Yoder, who gets cracked by three consecutive right hands and gets taken down. She looks for an armbar, eats ground strikes. 10-9 Hill.

Round 2: Low kick and right hand land for Hill. Yoder tries a straight left, eats more low kicks. Hill advancing, denies a level change. One minute in. Hard right hands from Hill. Hill digs a right to the body. More good punches, denies a level change. They trade kicks, more punches from Hill. Knees in the clinch. Two minutes in. Now a couple land for Yoder. Brief clinch. Two minutes to go.

Hill low kick, Yoder counter left. Hill presses forward with a combination. Body kick connects. Low kick, avoids punches in return. Good body shot and a big knee by Hill. She follows up with a combination with a minute to go. Yoder feeling the damage but manages to hit a takedown after eating a knee. Hill almost in position for a triangle, throwing elbows off her back. 10-9 Hill.

Round 3: Yoder marches forward with punches, gets reversed in the clinch. Knees from Hill. One minute in. More knees. Short elbow. Continuing to press Yoder against the fence. She exits with a knee. Body shot. Two minutes in. Yoder tosses out a couple kicks, eats more body shots as Hill puts her on the fence. Hill commits to a big flurry of knees and gets taken down into half guard. Two minutes to go.

Hill tries to sit out, cannot do so. Scooting to the fence with a minute to go. She makes it to her feet, lands more knees to the body and exits. Aborted attempt at a spin. Short right hook. Some more big rights at the bell. 10-9 Hill.

145 lbs.: Charles Jourdain vs. Marcelo Rojo

Round 1: Trading kicks to start. Rojo patiently advancing. He slips throwing a right hook, then Jourdain slips throwing a head kick. Jourdain punches the body, eats knees, gets taken down. Right back to the feet a minute in. Body kick from Jourdain. Rojo tries to charge with a right hook, answers a straight left with a knee. Rojo low kick answered in kind. Left hook as Jourdain lands a body kick. Two minutes in. Good knee by Rojo inside. Jourdain continuing to send out kicks, answered by a knee. Combination from Rojo. Two minutes to go.

Cut kick knocks Jourdain over for a moment. Straight left by Jourdain. Jab lands for Rojo. Low-high combination. Good body shot. One minute to go. Rojo the busier at the moment, but he eats some punches inside. More clinch body shots from Jourdain before they separate. 2-1, body kick from Jourdain. Very close. 10-9 Jourdain?

Round 2: Low kick from Rojo to start. Stiff jab lands for Jourdain, who avoids a combo and lands a low kick. Rpjo really going for it early this round. Jab and left hook by Jourdain. Rojo low kick, Jourdain left hand. One minute in. Clean overhand right by Jourdain. Rojo continuing to attack his lead leg. Rojo with a knee to the boy, takes a finger in the eye. Jourdain fires head kicks, eats a leg kick and lands one of his own. Good exchange. Straight left by Jourdain, avoids a step-in knee. Two minutes in. Jourdain catches a kick and they trade inside. Rojo rips the body, teeing off on the fence. Now a level change, looking for teh rear waist lock. They separate. Rojo tries a spinning elbow. Two minutes to go.

Jourdain to the body and leg inside. More leg kicks, eats one in return. Lead right. STraight left. More Jourdain low kicks. Jab upstairs. Rojo tries a flurry. Body shots from Rojo. One minute to go. Jabs from Jourdain, Rojo winds up with a right hand to the body. Leg kick exchange. Jourdain tries a flying knee, then cracks Rojo with punches. Both land hard shots inside. 10-9 Jourdain?

Round 3: Back to trading punches. Low kick from Rojo. Jourdain with some punches inside after eating more low kicks. Hard counter left lands for him. they trade lefts. Counter right. Rojo low kick a minute in. Big straight left by Jourdain, trading in the center. Body shot. 2-1. Right hook counter, then a hard straight left that drops Rojo. Jourdain drops some hard shots from guard. Two minutes in. Rojo tries to set up a triangle, eats left hands. Jourdain jumps off the cage to get past Rojo’s guard and drop more huge punches. Side control for Jourdain, back to guard with more punches. Two minutes to go.

Rojo turns to his knees and gets caught in a crucifix. Jourdain lets him up and they go back to slugging. Gigantic shots from both men, swinging for the fences. One minute to go. Straight left and uppercut by Jourdain. More punches in the clinch. Heavy body shot sends Rojo to the mat and that’ll do it.

135 lbs.: Ray Rodriguez vs. Rani Yahya

Round 1: Rodriguez tries an early head kick, lands a clean 1-2 and gets taken to the fence. Jockeying for position and Yahya drags him down into half guard. One minute in. Staying heavy on top. Two minutes in. Yahya with the occasional punch. Trying to pass, unable to so far. Two minutes to go.

Rodriguez unable to improve position so far, but Yahya can’t get past his half guard. One minute to go. Rodriguez turns to his right and now he’s stuck in an arm triangle. He manages to pop his arm free. 10-9 Yahya.

Round 2: Yahya flicking out low kicks as Rodriguez sends out punches. Yahya shoots against the fence, ultimately dragging Rodriguez down into half guard. Staying heavy, occasionally threatening arm triangles. Two minutes in. Rodriguez manages to get butterfly guard for a moment, only for Yahya to pass back into half guard. He locks up another arm triangle and this one draws the tap.

Final result: Yahya def. Rodriguez by submission (arm triangle choke)


155 lbs.: Rafa Garcia vs. Nasrat Haqparast

Round 1: Garcia advancing, probing with punches. Counter right lands for him, as does a leg kick. One minute in. Haqparast tries a straight left, then sends out a combination. Heavy left hand splits the guard. They trade in the center. Straight right by Garcia. Hard counter. He shoots, denied. Two minutes in. Another counter right. Overhand left from Haqparast, who’s getting outworked so far. Clean overhand right appears to sting Haqparast. Haqparast comes back with a body shot with two minutes to go.

Body kicks from Haqparast. Low kick from Garcia in response. Garcia right hand, Haqparast body shots. One minute to go. Haqparast with a body kick and straight left. Garcia with a right hand to a shot, can’t get it, re-shoots, denied again. Haqparast body kick. 10-9 Garcia.

Round 2: Early punching exchange. Garcia continuing to press forward, lands a body kick. Haqparast straight left. Good counter combination. Haqparast to the body, right hook from Garcia in response. One minute in. Sneaky elbow by Haqparast, eats a body kick. Another. Haqparast answers in kind and follows with straight lefts. Tries to sneak in an elbow, bangs the body when that doesn’t work. Garcia to the body in return. Trading straight shots two minutes in. Overhand left and some straights from Haqparast. Garcia with an elbow and left hook. Hard counters from Haqparast. Right hook to the body as he peppers the guard. Garcia still advancing and throwing, good knee after a brief level change. Two minutes to go.

Haqparast hits a quick osoto gari, doesn’t jump on top of him. Clean straight lefts. Garcia continues to march forward and send out right hands. Another hard body kick from Haqparast. One minute to go. Superman punch by Haqparast, who ducks a spinning back fist. Another little reap. More straight lefts as he circles. Garcia looks like he’s starting to feel the damage. Late takedown attempt. 10-9 Haqparast.

Round 3: Garcia sends out jabs, continues to eat straight lefts and body kicks. Hard 2-3 by Haqparast, Garcia tries to come back with a knee and gets popped by another left. Brutal combination from Haqparast. One minute in. Four-piece by Haqparast, four from Garcia in return. Brutal uppercut to right hook by Haqparast. Garcia absorbing everything so far. Counter elbow and straight left from Haqparast, then another body kick. Garcia straight rights, knee inside. He tries to change levels and eats an uppercut. Two minutes in. Another body kick by Haqparast. Combination punctuated by an elbow. Straight lefts. Counter left and pivot, body shot. Garcia continuing to press forward but Haqparast is running circles around him with two minutes to go.

Haqparast body kick, Garcia left hook. 1-2 from the Mexican, unable to change levels. One minute to go. Haqparast goes low-high. Head kick glances off. Next one’s a bit cleaner, then a straight left behind it. Heavy body kick. Another body punch, taunts a bit before the bell. 10-9 Haqparast, borderline 10-8.

125 lbs.: J.J. Aldrich vs. Cortney Casey

Round 1: Low kick from Casey to start. Aldrich on the front foot, lands a counter right. She tries the hook again. More Casey low kicks. Aldrich changes levels and puts her on the fence. One minute in. Holding onto a body lock. Casey separates with a right hand. Aldrich tries a body kick. Two minutes in. Combination from Casey, brief clinch. Another clinch. They trade punches, then Casey slams home knees and elbows. Two minutes to go.

They trade heavy blows in the clinch until Aldrich takes her down. Casey immediately brings her guard up and tries to set up a sub. Aldrich slips out and drops a forearm, then re-shoots as Casey stands. Denied. One minute to go. More kicks from Casey. Casey catches a body kick, gets caught in a front headlock. Casey tries to answer with a kimura. 10-9 Casey.

Round 2: Aldrich opens with a straight left and counter right. Right hook from Casey in return, who makes an ill-advised attempt to take the back standing and gets taken down. Two minutes in. Aldrich passes to half guard. Looking to pass further, stuck in quarter guard. Hard left hands two minutes in. Casey trying to work her way up against the fence, unable to do so. Two minutes to go.

Casey manages to stand and separate. Combination bounces off Aldrich’s guard. Leg kick connects. One minute to go. Aldrich steps in with a combination and changes levels, pulling Casey down into half guard in the waning seconds. 10-9 Aldrich.

Round 3: Low-high combo lands for Aldrich. Straight left. Casey lands a straight right and they trade. One minute in. Counter by Aldrich as Casey lands a right hand. Aldrich with a side kick. Big 2-3 lands for Casey. Solid combination forces Aldrich back towards the fence. Two minutes in. Aldrich advancing, but not doing enough at the moment. Counter left connects for her. Double jab. Sharp straight left, counter jabs. Two minutes to go.

Another straight left and right hook from Aldrich. Nice takedown, looking for side control. Casey crawls her way to the fence. One minute to go. They trade rights on the break. Casey presses forward with a flurry. Lead hook by Aldrich, eats one on the inside. Both land hard in the center. Casey walks right into a spinning back kick to the unmentionables. 115 lbs.: Gloria de Paula vs. Jinh Yu Frey

Round 1: de Paula opens with a straight right, met by a leg kick. Frey ties up and takes her down into half guard. de Paula regains guard. She tries to turn for an armbar, loses it a minute in. Body punches from Frey on top. de Paula turns to her knees and gives up her back in the process. One hook in for Frey. Back to half guard two minutes in. de Paula regains guard. Frey staying heavy. Two minutes to go.

More short punches from Frey. de Paula tries to turn for an armbar, eats punches. One minute to go. Frey passes to half guard. Back to full. 10-9 Frey.

Round 2: Low kick from Frey to start. de Paula tries a body kick. Overhand left by Frey. 1-2 from de Paula met by a left hand a minute in. Another 1-2 from the Brazilian. Head kick attempt. Right cross. She slips as both land leg kicks. Two minutes in. Another cross connects. Frey ties up on the fence, eats knees to the body before separating. Two minutes to go.

Round 3: Early right hand from de Paula. Frey catches a body kick and uses it to take her down into guard. One minute in. de Paula looking for a kimura. Two minutes in. Frey moves to mount, then takes the back, looking for the RNC. Two minutes to go.

Round 1: Before I can even get my cursor in position to start typing, Semelsberger answers a naked leg kick with a straight right that knocks Witt stiff.
