See what happened on the scales ahead of the latest offering from the UFC APEX.
A day before this weekend’s biggest fight, the UFC has another offering from their APEX facility. Their event includes a match-up of featherweights itching to get into the title picture at 145 lbs and the final bouts for this season of The Ultimate Fighter.
The main event sees promotional mainstay Edson Barboza take on the rising Giga Chikadze. The TUF finals pit Bryan Battle vs. Gilbert Urbina (middleweight bracket) and Ricky Turcios vs. Brady Hiestand (bantamweight bracket). Also on the main card Kevin Lee returns, at welterweight, to take on a short notice replacement in Daniel Rodriguez.
The prelim card features a number of UFC vets. The featured prelim sees Alessio Di Chirico take on Abdul Razak Alhassan. There’s also appearances by Sam Alvey (who fights Wellington Turman) and Darren Stewart (who fights Dustin Jacoby).
Before any of these fights can happen, the competitors must make their way to the scales.
