The stage is set for the Wrestlemania 34 TONIGHT (Sun., April 8 2018) inside Mercedez-Benz Stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The event will mark the much-anticipated pro wrestling debut of former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. Indeed, “Rowdy” will step into the WWE ring for the first time as she teams up against Kurt Angle to battle “HHH” and Stephanie McMahon in a tag team match.
Furthermore, Brock Lesnar will take on Roman Reigns in a WWE Unversal Championship match which just so happens to be Brock’s last contest on his current deal.
MMAmania.com will provide LIVE matches coverage of WrestleMania 34 this evening, (Sunday, April 8, 2018), with a 2 hour kick-off show starting at 5PM E.T. And the main WrestleMania program starting at 7PM E.T.
WRESTLEMANIA 34 QUICK RESULTS:
Universal Championship — Brock Lesnar def Roman Reigns
Brock picks up Roman and spears him into he corner, Roman fires back,but Brocj gets a hold of him and its instant suplex city. Reigns recovers with two superman punches. Out on the floor, Roman connects with another.Back in the ring, but not for long as Reigns clotheslines Brock out of the ring. Brock recovers and tries to suplex Roman on to the announce table, but it’s a weak attempt. Back in the ring, and Lesnar is having his way with Roman, giving him one suplex after another….and another, and another…and another. Out on the floor, and Roman is just getting brutalized. But, he finds new life and drives Brock into the steel corner. They are both up and Roman spears Lesnar into the announcers table with force and they are both down. Reigns recovers and puts Brock into the ring and loads up another superman punch, then a spear, and another spear. Goes for the pinfall, but to no avail. Roman goes in for another spear but eats a knee to the face for his troubles. Brock hits the F-5, but Roman won’t go out too easy. Another F-5 but Roman survives. Lesnar goes for yet another F-5, then he pin but Roman refuses to go down. Brock throws Roman out of the ring.
Another F-5 onto the announcers table. Lesnar puts him back into the ring, but seems frustrated, as he simply cant put his foe away. Another suplex and another F-5. Roman is busted up and bleeding. Brock goes or another F-5, Roman reverses, spear. Roman goes for another Spear, but Brock blocks it, connects with one more F-5. This time Roman has no shot to recover, as Brock scores the pin and retains his title.
WWE Championship — AJ Styles def. Shinsuke Nakamura
Ronda Rousey & Kurt Angle vs. Stephanie McMahon & Triple H:
Angle in on Hunter, right hands, whip to the corner, explode out with a lariat and he knocks HHH down. Wristlock applied, arm wringer to a hammerlock, Ronda tries to come in and referee denies.Triple H puts Kurt into the steel steps and heads back smack talk Rousey, and McMahon goes over and smashes Angle’s head into the steps!
Trading punches, whip reversed, spinning spinebuster gets Hunter a nearfall! Triple with a front chancery, blocking the tag while Ronda wants in. Angle with the suplex, desperate for the tag. Steph takes Rousey down from her corner. Underhooks, Pedigree reversed and Kurt throws Triple out of the ring, Ronda’s back and Shes In! Ronda starts agressive, duck a lariat, a lariat of her own. Suplex, slap rush in the corner. Suplex Stephanie begs off in the corner, into the armbar position, but McMahon defends. Steph claws at her eyes. Reaching for the tag but HHH out! Turning to Ronda, kick to the back, Rousey stands up but McMahon slams her.
Ronda stares her down, fireman’s carry. lands a samoan drop. Rousey and HHH get after it. Angle comes around, smashing the hunters face into the announce table. Triple blocks the German and throws Kurt onto the table! Off the ropes, Ronda catches a boot, fireman’s carry but McMahon intervenes. Slap from Steph. Rousey has Steph Up on her shoulder, McMahon slips out and puts Ronda into the rail.Angle back with a suplex, he holds on and rolls through and score three more. Pedigree reversed, Angle with position and an Angle Slam..steph slaps Angle. Angle catches a kick Applies ankle lock and its broken up. Hhh pedigree on Kurt. Ronda with the save. HHH goes for pedigree on Ronda but she slip out and reverses into an armbar. Steph sinks a sleeper from behind. Ronda slips out and gets an armbar on steph. Angle has the ankle lock on Hunter! HHH pushes Angle into Rousey and they are all out. They go to the floor while Rousey submits Steph with an armbar!
Angle and Rousey win by submission.
