The next Fight for the Troops will feature military flavor in the Octagon.
Iraq War vet and Marine Corps sergeant Liz Carmouche will meet Alexis Davis in a consequential bantamweight bout on Nov. 6 in Ft. Campbell, Ky.
Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports broke the news Friday.
Carmouche (9-3), of course, made history by headlining against Ronda Rousey at UFC 157 on Feb. 23, the first women’s fight and title fight in UFC history. Carmouche nearly pulled off the upset against the bantamweight champion before submitting to an armbar in the closing seconds of the opening round. The San Diego resident rebounded in July at UFC on FOX 8 in Seattle with a second-round TKO of Jessica Andrade.
Davis (14-5), meanwhile, has won three straight fights and six of her past seven. The Ontario native’s most recent win was a unanimous decision against Rosi Sexton at UFC 161.
