You can play deceased martial arts legend Bruce Lee, a boxer who never tried mixed martial arts (MMA) in Mike Tyson, and even guys who are 19 years removed from a UFC fight like Kazushi Sakuraba.
You can even play with WWE wrestler CM Punk, who despite signing with the company in 2014, has yet to make his MMA debut.
But if you want to play with Canada’s Patrick Cote in the new EA UFC 2 video game you might just be out of luck.
The welterweight veteran tweeted his displeasure hours ago upon looking at the current roster for the game:
So by this website ( EA sports ) , I’m not in the new UFC videogame …
well I’m not gonna lie, not happy about it !https://t.co/p7uMACdnxn— patrick cote (@patrick_cote) February 26, 2016
The oversight has many MMA fans confused as to how the video game maker EA Sports could overlook one of Canada’s most famous fighters.
true that I’m happy for all those guys !! https://t.co/z7iVYftgVR

Leaving out Cote is kind of an odd one. Former contender, has a pretty darn good recent record. https://t.co/bsKEmNri9H

Cote, 35, is currently 6-1 in UFC since 2012 and is the only fighter in recent memory to survive three rounds with the deadly Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson.
The French Canadian first joined UFC in 2004 with a late notice light heavyweight fight against Tito Ortiz at UFC 50. He went 4-7 in his first stint in UFC, however that includes a title bout against Anderson Silva at UFC 90. Many long-time fans of the sport will also remember that he competed on the fourth season of The Ultimate Fighter: The Comeback.
Often considered an undersized middleweight, Cote dropped down to 170 pounds in 2013 and is currently riding a three fight win streak with consecutive wins by way of TKO stoppage over notoriously brick-chinned fighters Josh Burkman and Ben Saunders.
Enquiries to EA Sports were not immediately answered but will be posted as soon as they do.
