Rising Flyweight sensation Valerie Loureda (22) is gearing up to make her first mixed martial arts (MMA) appearance of 2021 at the upcoming Bellator 258 event, which is set for May 7 inside Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
According to MAXIM, Loureda will face Hannah Guy, who is 2-1 in her professional MMA career and will be making her Bellator MMA debut. Both of her wins came via second-round submission.
As for Loureda, she burst onto the scene in Feb. 2019, knocking out Colby Fletcher in the very first round at Bellator 216 (highlights). She followed up that blistering performance with a unanimous decision win over Larkyn Dasch at Bellator 229 a few months later.
In her previous outing, Loureda — who trains out of American Top Team (ATT) — knocked out Tara Graff at Bellator 243 in Aug. 2020 (see it again here). Now, “Master” will attempt to improve to 4-0 in order to further climb the rankings.
Bellator 258 will feature a Bantamweight title fight between division king Juan Archuleta taking on Sergio Pettis. In the co-main event, Anthony Johnson will face Yoel Romero in an quarterfinal matchup of the promotion’s Light Heavyweight Grand Prix. Also, Michael Page will face Derek Anderson in Welterweight action.
