Mike Tyson must be a big Mario fan because he’s living in Mushroom Kingdom.
The former WBC heavyweight champion is taking the psilocybin escalator to “heaven” every time he trains for his upcoming Jake Paul fight on Netflix, scheduled for eight, two-minute rounds on Fri., Nov. 15, 2024 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
“I have to take ’em when I train,” Tyson told Impaulsive podcast. “I always train with my mushrooms. I train with mushrooms ‘cause I feel beautiful. It takes me to heaven, baby. If I’m not on mushrooms (for the fight) I’ll be on residue of mushrooms.”
Psilocybin is not currently prohibited as a performance-enhancing drug by WADA.
“Look at YouTube and look at the history of drugs, it will blow your mind,” Tyson continued. “We’ve been getting high for 200 million years. I think dinosaurs invented all the drugs. I think all the residue … the sh*t, the p*ss, I think that invented all the drugs.”
Maybe he means the “dinosaurs” in Bellator MMA?
Tyson, 58, was forced to postpone his combat sports comeback after suffering a medical emergency on a flight to Los Angeles earlier this year (more on that here). It seems “Iron” is all patched up and ready to go, even though a majority of his supporters are against it.
