Another light heavyweight fight is being added to the UFC’s Fight Night event on Feb. 27th
A light heavyweight fight has reportedly been added to a UFC Fight Night on February 27th, as Magomed Ankalaev is scheduled to fight Nikita Krylov.
ESPN’s Brett Okamato first reported the news, although the UFC is yet to officially announce the fight themselves. It’s likely that the event will take place at the UFC’s Apex facility in Las Vegas.
Ankalaev (14-1) is undefeated since his UFC debut in March 2018, when he lost to Paul Craig by submission with just one-second left on the fight. The Russian fought twice in 2020, beating Ion Cutelaba by controversial stoppage in February then defeating him again in a rematch at UFC 254 in October.
Krylov (26-7) comes into the fight on the back of a mixed run during his second stint in the UFC. The Ukrainian has picked up wins against Johnny Walker and Ovince Saint Preux, but dropped fights to current champion Jan Blachowicz and top contender Glover Teixeira.
The UFC event on Feb. 27th is expected to be headlined by a light heavyweight fight between Dominick Reyes and Jiri Prochazka.
