Eight people were shot outside a bar in San Antonio last night.

According to KTSA eight people were shot outside of a bar in northern San Antonio at around 11:30 p.m. last night. According to San Antonio police chief William McManus the suspected shooter said, “Don’t you know who I am? I’m a UFC fighter from California” before opening fire.

The suspect was reportedly part of a group of men who had been drinking at a bar on Broadway Street. McManus said that the group moved from that location and tried to enter a separate bar named Rebar. However, a bouncer refused the group entry because they appeared too drunk.

When the bouncer told them they couldn’t come in, that’s when one of the men claimed to be a UFC fighter. That individual allegedly then went to his car and pulled out a long rifle. He then started shooting at the bar parking lot, hitting eight people.

All of the shooting victims are in stable condition. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage in an attempt to identify the suspect.
