Mark Hunt tweets he’s ‘unemployed;’ Dana White disagrees

Mark Hunt is scheduled to fight Roy Nelson on Sept. 20 in Japan. At least that’s what the UFC is hoping will happen.

Hunt tweeted on Tuesday that he was “unemployed,” which was obviously alarming considering it was announced long ago that he was main eventing next month’s UFC Fight Night 52 event at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan against “Big Country.”

Well I’m unemployed that sucks

Not my choice guys but going from being exited at the prospects of the future of fighting to being unemployed in a day lol this sucks

Hunt refused to elaborate on the tweets when contacted by MMAFighting.com, however, he did say he was not pulling some kind of Twitter prank.

UFC president Dana White, who is currently vacationing in Bora Bora, was asked about Hunt’s claims on Twitter and he said they were “false.”

@J_R_H_P_97 Hell NO Mark Hunt isn’t cut

@Chubfishswe @ufc that’s the dumbest thing I have ever heard.
