Mark Scanlon out of UFC 138, John Maguire debuts against James Head

Mark Scanlon has been forced to withdraw from UFC 138 for undisclosed reasons.

Scanlon had been set to face James Head on the event’s preliminary card, but fellow U.K. welterweight John Maguire now gets that opportunity, a source close to the event today told MMAjunkie.com.

UFC 138 takes place Nov. 5 at LG Arena in Birmingham, England.
