Still undefeated in mixed martial arts, Rodolfo Vieira (7-0) will look for his third UFC victory. In his first two UFC apperances, the 30-year-old tapped out both Oskar Piechota and Saparbek Safarov via arm-triangle choke, in August 2019 and March 2020, respectively.
Markus Perez (12-3) was supposed to meet Eric Spicely back at UFC Fight Night 173, but weight issues forced his opponent out of the bout on weigh-in day, leaving ‘Maluko’ without a fight. In his last outing, the 30-year-old dropped a unanimous decision to Wellington Turman, in November 2019. Before the loss, the Brazilian scored an anaconda choke submission win over Anthony Hernandez, in February of the same year.
Now, Vieira is expected to take on Perez at UFC Fight Night 181, on October 10. So far, the card does not have a headliner or any major bouts linked to it. A location for the event is also yet to be determined.
