‘Gamebred’ has big plans for his three fight boxing odyssey, and then a simple goal for when he inevitably returns to the UFC.
Jorge Masvidal is not just coming back for his upcoming fight against Nate Diaz on June 1st. That boxing bout is just the start of a series of scraps that leads him back to the UFC.
That’s from “Gamebred” himself, who revealed on the Spinning Backfist show that he fell into a deep depression after retiring and has since committed to training every day. Now he has a special deal with the UFC to have three boxing bouts and then come back. So the mission right now?
“I’m trying to get some big ass checks, you know what I’m saying?” Masvidal declared during a media scrum in Miami (via MMA Junkie). “Break some f—ing necks.”

“I wouldn’t mind taking on Logan Paul and rearranging his face. He’s a hell of a fighter with the boxing. From where he comes from being an influencer, he did some good things against Mayweather, but I think I can end that dude. I’d like to fight Logan.”
“If I can get my hands on Mayweather or Pacquiao down the road, any of these other guys I’d like to fight,” he added.
And then if things go according to plan, he’ll return to the UFC to snap his four fight losing streak.
“Definitely going to come back to the UFC and give a W for my city, my family, my kids, for everybody that believes in me,” he said. “I gotta go back to the UFC.”
