UFC Vegas 10 went down last night (Sat., Sept. 12, 2020) inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, which featured a women’s Strawweight bout that saw Michelle Waterson defeat Angela Hill after five rounds of back-and-forth action (see it again here). In the co-main event, Ottman Azatair continued his head-hunting ways by knocking out Khama Worthy in just 93 seconds (video replay here).

Winner: Michelle Waterson

Who She Should Face Next: Tatiana Suarez

After getting back in the win column things are only going to get tougher for Waterson, who snapped her two-fight skid after edging out Angela Hill. A fight against Suarez seems to fit the bill perfectly. Not much has been seen from the undefeated (8-0, 5-0) wrestling powerhouse since winning her eighth straight back in June of 2019. Suarez has been on the sidelines getting healthy, so one would like to assume she’ll be returning anytime now. Waterson once called for a showdown against Tatiana and it seems as good a time as any to lock them inside the cage together.

Winner: Ottman Azaitar

Who He Should Face Next: Bobby Green

Azatair just keeps on winning and knocking people out. The heavy-handed striker picked up his thirteenth straight win after making quick work of Khama Worthy. Up next, I’d love to see a matchup between he and Bobby Green. “King” also picked up a huge win in “Sin City,” his third straight. Azaitar is looking for a quick turnaround in order to compete on “Fight Island,” so if UFC comes calling, I’d like to think Green — who is as game as they come — would be down to bang.

Winner: Roxanne Modafferi

Who She Should Fight Next: Viviane Araujo

As anticipated, Modafferi (No. 8) picked up a big win against Andrea Lee. Not that she was the betting favorite or anything, but “The Happy Warrior” continued her pattern of win one, lose one, which has been going on for three years now and over nine fights. Hey, at least she’s consistent. Things will get a bit tougher for Roxanne, who should be matched up against Araujo (No. 7) next. Viviane picked up a huge win over Montana De La Rosa last week, so their respective return schedules should line up. Plus, they are only separated by one spot on the rankings.

Winner: Ed Herman

Who He Should Face Next: Mike Rodriguez (again)

Look, it’s not like I want to see them fight again, but that is likely what is going to happen after what occurred in their first fight. Rodriguez landed some brutal knees on Herman which dropped him in round two. It what should have been a technical knockout win for Rodriguez was ultimately a timeout for Herman since the official on duty — whom Dana White likened to Steve Mazzagatti — thought it was a low blow and gave Ed time to recover. In the third round, Herman turned it around and managed to sink in a fight-ending Kimura. If Dana White has a say in the matter (and he does), I wouldn’t rule out an instant rematch.

Winner: Billy Quarantillo

Who He Should Face Next: Cub Swanson

Quarantillo picked up his eighth straight win after knocking out Kyle Nelson at UFC Vegas 10, his sixth finish during his impressive win streak. I’d like to see Quarantillo get a big bump in level of competition in the form of Cub Swanson. Cub has struggled over the last few years but picked up a big win over Kron Gracie last October to snap his four-fight losing streak. The longtime veteran went on to suffer a nasty knee injury in late December during a grappling tournament, but after a year on the sidelines Swanson could be nearing a comeback in the coming months.
