Both fighters were landing what they wanted, Lyoto scoring two takedowns and probably the slightly better striking with some lunging knees.
Lyoto went for a straight right and Rua clips him in the ear and Machida goes down. Rua is instantly on top and lands a punch practically as Machida is going down. Falls into full mount, and Machida is grabbing the body, Rua lands 3 punches clean Machida is out with his head bouncing off the canvas.
Rua respectfully stops punching and Yves Lavigne pushes Rua off anyways.
