A new bout has been added to the fight card for ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ (TUF) 18 Finale as Akira Corassani and Maximo Blanco will meet in a featherweight match. The UFC confirmed the news via Twitter on Sunday.
The TUF 18 Finale takes place on Saturday, November 30 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main card will be broadcast on FOX Sports 1 and is headlined by a flyweight title bout between champion Demetrious Johnson and challenger Joseph Benavidez.
Blanco, 29, is 1-1 in two UFC bouts and 1-2 in Zuffa-owned organizations. He most recently competed on the TUF 17 Finale card in April where he defeated Sam Sicilia via unanimous decision. He is 9-4-1 with 1 no-contest in professional mixed martial arts.
Corassani, 31, made his featherweight debut at his first professional UFC bout, a bout opposite Andy Ogle he won via split decision in September. He is 2-0 in his UFC campaign and holds a record 11-3 with 1 no-contest in MMA.
