Both Floyd Mayweather and Robert Guerrero reached their welterweight limit at Friday’s weigh-ins ahead of their bout on Saturday evening. Mayweather tipped the scales at 146 pounds while Guerrero came in at 147 pounds. Both fighters had to be at or below 147 pounds (but no less than 140) in order for the weights to be official for the contest.
Friday’s weigh-ins were held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las, Vegas Nevada.
In that main event, Mayweather, 36, will defend his perfect record of 43-0 as well as his WBC welterweight crown against Guerrero, 30, who is 31-1-1 in his professional career.
On the undercard, Daniel Ponce De Leon (44-4) will defend his WBC featherweight title against Abner Mares (25-0-1). Leo Santa Cruz (23-0-1) is also on the card and he’ll square off against Alexander Munoz (36-4) at super bantamweight. Beginning the main card on the Showtime pay-per-view bout is J’Leon Love (15-0) vs. Gabriel Rosado (21-6).
