McGregor is the best in the game when it comes to psychological warfare … which makes this goofy voice tweet a lame entry into his trash talk collection.
Former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor usually puts a lot of work into his psychological warfare, which is how the MMA community first became familiar with “Noah” and a dozen other personal backstories (sample them here).
That’s probably why “Notorious” remains “a perfect fit for WWE.”
I guess that’s why this goofy voice tweet just four days out from his Dustin Poirier trilogy, which headlines the UFC 264 pay-per-view (PPV) this Sat. night (July 10, 2021) inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, fell way below the McGregor standard.
“Dusssstinnnn,” McGregor said. “Peahead … I’m coming for you Peahead. Silly hillbilly.”
The “Peahead” joke is over seven years old.
McGregor (22-5) was knocked out by “The Diamond” at UFC 257 back in January, leaving the score at one apiece after “Notorious” drew first blood at UFC 178. Hopefully the “Muhammad Ali of UFC” can up his game for this Thursday’s press conference.
