Conor McGregor has just pledged to donate more than $1 million to Irish hospitals to help join the fight against COVID-19.
Conor McGregor continues to be on the spotlight for entirely sympathetic reasons. Between his prayers for Italy, and his general message of unity, he’s saying all the right things with regards to the COVID-19 pandemic. The kind of things we might wish Dana White was saying, but isn’t.
But now McGregor is also doing the right things. In a discussion with Irish politician, Paschal Donohoe, McGregor has donated 1 million euros (roughly $1,088,000 USD) in medical supplies to Irish hospitals.
Thank you sincerely for your message, Minister Paschal Donohoe.

Those supplies will include personal protective equipment to one of Ireland’s most affected region.
There’s nothing “small” about money for protective equipment. In the US, medical professionals have even signed a letter demanding immediate action for necessary equipment. Health care workers are, after all, risking their lives being on the front lines. It’s gotten to the point where workers are going to craft stores to assemble homemade masks.
Ireland has reported 1,329 cases, and 7 deaths according the most recent update as of this writing.
“Where we would be without these brave men and women, I do not know,” McGregor wrote. “May God bless over them and keep them safe.”
“I urge all the way! ‘All in’ is the term we must use here. Bit by bit will cost us lives. To see what is happening here in Ireland and all across the entire globe, is heartbreaking to me. I pray. God speed Minister and thank you for the message, and your service to our nation.”
