Conor McGregor has tweeted something again, and then deleted it again.

The UFC rankings are often questioned by fighters, fans and media, but this time Conor McGregor has taken exception to why Dustin Poirier is ranked ahead of him at 155-pounds.

Former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion McGregor, who has since deleted the tweet, indicated his win over Poirier and fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov should place him above “The Diamond.”

“How is the pea ahead of me in rankings?” McGregor said about Poirier. “I sparked him in 90 seconds. Went further against most recent foe, plus took a round. After two year layoff partying and or in jail/court.”

“What a weird little game you guys play. I’ll bide my time for now but watch this space. All bums.”

McGregor fought Poirier back in 2014 at UFC 178, with the Irishman stopping Poirier in under two minutes. Both men have since fought, and lost, to the current 155-pound champion Nurmagomedov by submission. McGregor lost to the Russian in October 2018 whilst Poirier was stopped by him last September.

It didn’t take long for McGregor’s tweet to get the attention of Poirier, who said he’s fought “real contenders” whilst McGregor has been “hand picking” his.
