Two more potentially exciting fights were recently added to UFC 158.

Canadian Strikeforce import Jordan Mein will meet Dan Miller in welterweight action, while dynamic strikers John Makdessi and Daron Cruickshank will do battle in a lightweight tilt.

UFC officials announced both match-ups Friday night.

The 23-year-old Mein (26-8) has won eight of his last nine fights. His lone defeat during that stretch was against Tyron Woodley last January. His opponent, Miller (14-6, 1 NC), won his welterweight debut against Ricardo Funch at UFC on FX 4 last June.

Both Makdessi (10-2) and Cruickshank (12-2) picked up big wins to end 2012. Makdessi, a Montreal native, defeated Sam Stout at UFC 154 in November, while Cruickshank scored one of the best knockouts of the year when he finished Henry Martinez with a head kick at UFC on FOX 5 in December.

No word just yet whether the fights will be placed on the undercard or the pay-per-view main card.

UFC 158, headlined by Georges St-Pierre vs. Nick Diaz for the UFC welterweight title, is scheduled for March 16 at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

The following fights have been officially announced for UFC 158:

Georges St-Pierre (c) vs. Nick Diaz — UFC welterweight title fight
Jake Ellenberger vs. Johny Hendricks
Carlos Condit vs. Rory MacDonald
Patrick Cote vs. Bobby Voelker
Jordan Mein vs. Dan Miller
Daron Cruickshank vs. John Makdessi
Chris Camozzi vs. Nick Ring
