Michael Bisping addresses “losers” Weidman and Rockhold, as well as “dirty cockroach” Anderson Silva, that want his belt.
Michael Bisping has been on a lot of minds since winning the middleweight strap. From Chris Weidman to Dan Henderson, and just about everyone in between, there’s been no shortage of athletes vying to get that next crack at the title. Even Georges St-Pierre has thrown his hat in the ring and said that he wouldn’t mind having a go at the new champ. At this point, it might be easier to list the guys that haven’t called Bisping out.
To add a little more fuel to this growing fire, those ever-present “Undisclosed Sources” have stated that a bout between “The Count” and Dan Henderson has already been verbally agreed to, however, neither fighter has commented on the validity of the report. In a self-written blog on Champions.co, Bisping stated that there was a fight on the table, but was not at liberty to reveal who it’s with, as the deal hasn’t been sealed yet.
Michael also addressed a few of the guys that have been chomping at the bit to get in the Octagon with him, and the tone of his message was clear: Get in line, losers.
“Of course the usual suspects are there. The most obvious ones are already lining up; Rockhold wants a rematch, Chris Weidman won’t stop going on. Weidman has actually started yapping a lot. I sort of feel sorry for the guy. He’s really started to become pretty embarrassing.
He’s coming off a loss. You know, you don’t get to fight for a title when you’re coming off a loss. Yes, I know there has been the odd circumstance here and there where that’s happened, but for the most part, the rule of thumb is that a guy coming off a loss doesn’t fight for a belt. He’s just sounding so pathetic, he really is.”
The next on Bisping’s list to get a dressing down was Anderson Silva.
“Now, Anderson Silva has come out of the woodwork, like a dirty little cockroach. He came out and was saying that I should fight him again and this and that, how he beat me the first time. Well, anyone that knows fighting and watched that fight knows that I beat him. Why should I have to instantly redo that?”
The final blast was a note to all comers. Beg, cry or throw insults, the results will be the same. Somebody else has dibs on that title shot, and it’s likely not any of you. He rounded out his rant with a parting shot.
“There’s only one person with the belt, and that is me. Until the announcement comes, you can all kiss my ass.”
